So, I'm listening to the bonus tracks on Severed Survival, the track Funereality, which is from Acts of the Unspeakable, and I'm liking it quite a bit.

I need to get this album.

show could've done without behemoth tbh. they were cool for like 2 songs then it was just repetitive.

i would have loved to see Behemoth before they put out their 2 most recent albums. i can imagine they mostly play songs from those now and i can totally see how that would get old fast

Behemoth may be the biggest.... hmmm.... how do I say this... underachieving band? Like, they have so much potential to be awesome, but... they suck. Its not that they can't play, or can't come up with interesting riffs and cool ****.


but they cannot write a ****ing song to save their god-damn lives. They have the most horrible arrangements I have ever heard in metal.

Like, take Antikristian Phenomenon. That has one of the most badass ****ing riffs EVER, and the intro to the song is so cool, and then they ****ing absolutely RUIN the vibe by going straight into a blast beat over it.


I want to ****ing strangle whoever produced that record for that single instance. Ugh. They have this ****ing SICK heavy Darkthrone **** going on, and then ruin it. If they wanted the blast beat so badly... they should have speed-picked the riff as single notes.

and they don't go back into the riff out of the verse well either, it just slams into it. But then they hit a genius of a part in the solo, but alas... its only ****ing four bars long. Ugh.


I could have made this song probably the biggest black/death metal song ever. The only reason these guys are getting bigger is because of their perseverance, which is certainly laudible. But they do not write very good music. I wish they did.



Anyway... I'll be seeing them tomorrow night in Hartford. Anybody else going to be there?

First time seeing Slayer and Cannibal Corpse. This is going to be one massive onslaught of metal for my first time back... I hope I survive and don't overdose, haha.

Any ever heard of Pentacrostic? Really good old-school **** with plenty of doom and black metal influences and what not. Their solos remind me of Arghoslent's for whatever reasons.
