He's hard to pin down as a genre, but does anyone like Warren Zevon? I got his last album a while ago, and it's great:).
Well, I'm he is at least Classic rock.

I really like him, though I only own a greatest hits.
I think that Clapton overshadows the other members too much. Its like Jimi Hendrix, he is a god on guitar, but he compleatly overshadows the other GREAT musicians in the band.
Most can say that Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker weren't exactly overshadowed. Once you listen to Cream you can tell that.

Element of LED 435 04-18-2005 12:50 PM

yeah there are shirts everywhere in the stores with the old bands! rock on \m/

i think in actual musicianship, they were pretty equal but yeah, claptons name overshadowed the other two.

Now it does, but I don't think it did then.

baker and bruce were definitely respected but neither of them were being called "god." its probably just the way that the lead guitarist gets more attention than the rythym section.

Yea, but in 1966 Clapton wasn't being called God either.

sure he was. it was after his stint with mayall that people started referring to him as that. it was graffitti in subways.

All found in your garage? You're a very lucky person. Those are great albums.

edit- I just watched Robert Randolph perform Voodoo Chile with Rob Thomas on VH1's Save the Music concert. I was quite impressed.

Poncho? You crazy Canadians :p

Broken Arrow 04-18-2005 03:06 PM

Well I'm stretching the word poncho.

http://www.hippieshop.com/cgi-bin/gold/item/GR4232

It resembles this one.

Cool site. Oh yeah I also got the Crossroads DVD.

lunch998 04-18-2005 03:35 PM

Oh yea, poncho-boy. That's cool though, if I was still a hippie I would get one.

thickasabrick 04-18-2005 03:42 PM
Clapton's name overshadows the other members.

If you dont know what a houka is its a water bong with 2 or more hoses. I have a shroom shaped one that's black and has trippy disigns all over it we call it "Gloomy Shroomy". It also came with a awsome little bowl too. 4 hits and you're blown. :D

NP: Mellow Yellow by Donovan
Oh ok. I spell it hookah, I assumed we were talking about the same thing though. That's pretty cool that you have one, my parents have one (they don't use it anymore). It's about waist high and has four hoses, it's from the 70's. I tried using it but it doesn't work very good, none of the parts that connect are sealed very well and you can't get big hits off of it. I am thinking of buying my own though.

That's a cool poncho type thing Livewired. I was actually thinking of getting one like it, I'd want mine to have green on it though. I know a couple guys with them, and they look awesome. Certainly this is not just a Canadian thing? Ponchos are quite popular with girls here, a bunch of my teachers have them, same with some friends and my sister.

lunch998 04-18-2005 03:45 PM

Some people here have them also.

jpj 04-18-2005 03:45 PM

That site had some cool band merch.

That sounds great. (I didn't ask you, but thanks for posting it anyway). I'm not big into that Who-era, but maybe I should check it out.

You only have that disc? The first disc is the Tommy set.

Not all are water bongs and I have seen a few with one hose, btw.

It's a joke. :)

And what he has is hardly a poncho. A poncho is supposed to be sleeveless, I believe.
