1. how do you know that he was falsely accused. he told you that he was? i'm not speculating, i'm just trying to point out that practically every dude who ever raped someone has a buddy who's in your situation

2. she might not have any reasoning at all. she might not understand the repercussions, the implications. she might feel that she was raped. who the fuck knows, there are so many variables in a situation like that that i'm not comfortable being reductive

He was pretty religious and was serious about not having sex until he was married. The chick on the other hand wanted to have sex in which he refused on a number of occasions. She was really into him, to like, a weird extent. She threatened to spread stuff about him if he didn't have sex with her. One night they got into a a verbal fight at a party (in which he didn't even drink) and he crashed in my friends room early because he was pissed. She left at about the same time. Eventually, she said he forced sex on her that *very night* even though I was around him for all of it and he never left the room once he was in it. She wasn't even in the damn house.
