Me and Dave went and did the same, along with the story worker, we sounded pretty badass, and we had a couple listeners, watchers ( Maybe like 4 in all ). I doubt we played as good as we sounded.

the funny thing is the store worker was a complete dumbass, it was cool, he joined in, didnt really contribute, but cool, then we were lookin at used cymbals and were checkin out a flat-ride (i think an old 18" A flat ride) and he said something along the lines of how it was either a zbt or zht, we both found it amusing

SAT's are extremely easy i took them last year is 7th grade and i got a 1020. thats good enough to get into like suny, at 12 years old

SATs basically don't matter for college, unless its an extremely selective one. Your general academic standing is much more important.

Alright, so I'm kind of a noob to the band scene- but how do your bands go about writing their own songs? Like.. do you write lyrics, then make a song for them? Do you lay down the guitar first? What part should each instrument be doing?

Haha, I had some friends who were in a "band."

They wrote the music first, and then all got together and wrote lyrics for it. Then they'd pick and choose lines and verses from everybody's until they liked the song. They made me help, 2 of the lines in their 2nd verse were written by me.

But after that, they decided to write the lyrics first, because the song was in too high a key for the singer and they had to lower it a step or so. It was kinda awkward.

Normally people write the music first, or melody, then come up with lyrics.

It's kinda easier that way, otherwise the structure of the song kinda gets screwed up. But whatever works for you. It's a good idea to write the guitar and lyrics at the same time, then add the other instruments.

However, if the song has a strong drum part, or bass part, you might want to write that first then write around it. It really depends on what works for you and how skilled your bandmates are.

I've heard 'em just screwing around before, too.

Then one of the instruments discovers something cool sounding, and the others write a song around it.

Hah, SATs. Sorry to say it, but SAT's are piss, except for the english. But thats probably because i spent most of my english lessons pissing around with my friend.
Do americans have SATs or something, or are all the people who were talking about it from the UK.

Nah. Most bands make songs before lyrics. Gives you more freedom, as in my opinion, the music is more important than the singing.

I like long tests. As long as it's either history or english, with a big fat essay at the end. Math and science are sh[B]i[/B]t.
