Hey guys.

DaveSavesTheDay 10-08-2006 02:12 PM

Hey, Cody
I love family! I can always talk and laugh with them. Well.. sometimes I can't. But if her parents are cool, the rest of the family will be the same I guess :p

Her parents are wicked cool, but for the longest time she has been telling me how crazy the rest of her family is. She said every dinner usually ends with all the girls crying and all the guys smoking outside. Heh, apparently her grandma makes the best pumpkin pie.

kilian 10-08-2006 02:14 PM

Ah that still sounds like a good time! I mean.. she must be exaggerating it all a bit :p

Anyway.. I'm off to bed, I'm completely broken from last night!

DaveSavesTheDay 10-08-2006 02:17 PM

Cheers, man.

Thonk 10-08-2006 02:21 PM

'night Kilian.

What's going on Dave?

sr800bkBassist 10-08-2006 02:21 PM

Indian Summer is a great band. yes yes.

DaveSavesTheDay 10-08-2006 02:23 PM

Heh, not much.

I went shopping to look spiffy for the big dinner tonight. Shame my hair stylist wasn't in today, I could use a trim.

Hows abouts you?

Hey, Aaron

Thonk 10-08-2006 02:28 PM

I've been trying to learn this song on piano...It's amazing.

sr800bkBassist 10-08-2006 02:29 PM

In less than a month I'll be "celebrating" that same anniversary, only it's my mom.

DaveSavesTheDay 10-08-2006 02:31 PM

Thonk 10-08-2006 02:36 PM

That really sucks Zack. :upset:

DaveSavesTheDay 10-08-2006 02:37 PM

Spaceman Spiff 10-08-2006 02:41 PM

Yup. This last year and a half has been crazy for me.

DaveSavesTheDay 10-08-2006 02:43 PM

I could only assume.

Anyways, guys, I'm off to go get ready. Cheers :chug:

Happy Turkey Day to those Canadians.

Stupid Canadians with your stupid Thanksgiving on the wrong day.

But seriously, I hope everything goes well.:chug:

Polyamarous 10-08-2006 03:09 PM

I think the whole Thanksgiving thing is silly in the first place.

Akira 10-08-2006 03:11 PM

What could be considered silly about setting aside a whole day to eat until you pass out?

PietroCrespi 10-08-2006 03:12 PM

Does the UK have Thanksgiving?

Nobody really cares about why we have Thanksgiving, we just like to eat and get out of school/work.

See, this man knows where his towel's at.

I don't care what the excuse is, three days off school is awesome.

123.

Polyamarous 10-08-2006 03:24 PM

I'm willing to bet all you foos that Thanksgiving's sole purpose IS NOT to get a few, ungrateful kids out of thier FREE education :smoke:

And no the UK has nothing even close to THanksgiving.

/Douglas Adams reference?

Anyways, I'm sitting here on the computer again. Cool.

160$ for an electric guitar... Whoo.

FunkMetalBass 10-08-2006 03:27 PM

Wow, I didn't know if anyone would catch it.
+rep.

PaulSimonon 10-08-2006 03:31 PM

I used to dig him a lot, but the last few years I've drifted away from Science Fiction/Fantasy stuff.

Efrim 10-08-2006 03:36 PM

Hello.

sr800bkBassist 10-08-2006 03:53 PM

anybody listen to Kylesa?

FunkMetalBass 10-08-2006 04:00 PM

Weird Al's new album, Straight Outta Lynwood rawks my socks.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=1GWMmu5aFwA

"Confessions Part III" dubbed over the "Confessions Part II" music video.

It's okay. Weird Al is a hero of mine, and so I think that made me less fond of this. Songs like White and Nerdy, Don't Download This Song, and You're Pitiful (not on the album) are good, but overall Lynwood feels very uninspired compared to a lot of his other albums. I mean Taylor Hicks? Who cares? Weird Al definately didn't become my hero with songs like that.
It's not a bad album, but I hoped for so much more.
anybody listen to Kylesa?
Were you the one talking about Indian Summer?

Jody LeCompte 10-08-2006 05:45 PM

The new guitar world is actually good for once.

PietroCrespi 10-08-2006 05:47 PM

What's in it?

BenJammin 10-08-2006 06:44 PM

New song using the looper.

"Firelight."

If you have a sub-woofer, turn the bass down. I've still got some sound level issues to work out, particularly when switching effects. That, and I was using an octave down effect combined with a synth bass effect and plugging away on my B string.

This song is an accurate representation of my night last night, drunk and stoned at a dance club last night. :smoke:

Akira 10-08-2006 06:52 PM

Hmm, I can't say I like that crunchy tone.

Due to my new-found GAS for a Stick I have started working on hand independence. I have a new-found appreciation for pianists. It's hard.

BenJammin 10-08-2006 06:53 PM

I love the crunchy tone, lol. It's just beats. No note definition at all. Lol.

And, yeah. Piano is amazing.

Oh, dude. It was.

Akira 10-08-2006 06:55 PM

It's so hard. I think maybe I should just build up my tapping chops first, then make it more musical.

Then I'll magically find a way to get an extra $2000 for a Chapman Stick.
