Shame AG isnt on msn to tell him. (about the images)

In other non spam news, I got a cab today. It has 2 hellatone 30s and its orange. Got it for $90. But there is a downside, I cant keep the speakers, I am only borrowing them til my friend gets the other cab he ordered. sooo...still $90 for a non machine manufactured us made birch ply orange tolexed 2x12 is nice. Heres a pic:

No Prob Voodoo,

You're only gonna be providing my shelter in a year or so.

Nick 06-27-2006 06:30 PM

those colours don't clash at all

nice picture behind though

Me! 06-27-2006 06:31 PM

Nice. How are the Hellatones? I saw them on the Avatar website a while ago, but I've never heard them and I figured I'd be getting Vintage 30's from the UK rather than from Korea, where they're made now, if I got a replacement speaker.

Looks good, mang. I will soon have your set-up....(EPI LP custom into a PODxtL into an HRDeluxe.)

Insomniac20k 06-27-2006 06:32 PM

wait you bought a cab but you can't keep the speakers?

Nick 06-27-2006 06:32 PM

give up.

voodooramen 06-27-2006 06:32 PM

orly

well, i am kinda pissed about my housing situation. My parents might be moving to NC in a couple years, I will be able to get a place of my own, and I refuse to go to NC when I have all my friends, band, and school junk here (I do plan on going to a florida college) so NC isnt going to happen. So, I just am kinda pissed about that. Yeah. I hope I can work it out, or at least get them not to move.

Me! 06-27-2006 06:33 PM
wait you bought a cab but you can't keep the speakers?
For 90 bucks? Heck yeah that's quality cab right there.

Morons posting threads about the spam. Can't they see the spammers are attention whores?

Insomniac20k 06-27-2006 06:33 PM

Why does everyone on the east coast want to move to NC? it's a ****ty state.

voodooramen 06-27-2006 06:33 PM
wait you bought a cab but you can't keep the speakers?
he is a friend of mine, and is going to be away for 2 weeks, and the cab he bought is still being shipped. The deal was cab only. I am probably going to put some eminences in it, they are affordable and sound good.

Nihongo 06-27-2006 06:33 PM

Hah norly, I'll get a hotel.

Me! 06-27-2006 06:34 PM

Again, how are the Hellatones?

Insomniac20k 06-27-2006 06:34 PM

So I'm getting a strat for my birthday.

I put an eminence speakers in my Ibanez toneblaster (POS) and it actually made it a useable practice amp.

I agree, I hated it, the roads were worse than KY roads.

Thor the Impaler 06-27-2006 06:35 PM

What kind of strat?

Nihongo 06-27-2006 06:35 PM
So I'm getting a strat for my birthday.
Congrats, I love mine, but I may become an Ibanez whore in a couple days.

voodooramen 06-27-2006 06:35 PM

They are ACE. I wish I could keep them. I might just spring for them as the speakers i will buy for it, or pay my friend enough to keep them. But I am broke atm, I just bought a radial tonebone hot british (for a great price, $130 usd, usually almost $200, but I am still broke). So getting a job in the next few weeks should be a high priority for me in a lot of aspects.

Me! 06-27-2006 06:36 PM

Cool cool.

You have the Vintage 30 in that HRD, right? Because that's an Emerald? How do they compare?

Nihongo 06-27-2006 06:37 PM

You'll love the Hot British, mine is awesome.

I just found a good Chuck Berryish crunch to use with my Strat this morning.

bass and treble on 1 notch past 12 o clock
contour near full, drive at the very bottom, level 12 o clock, fat switch up, mid boost 7, top end flat, use neck single coils.

Awesome.

Insomniac20k 06-27-2006 06:37 PM

It's a cake.

shaped like a strat.

:)

Me! 06-27-2006 06:38 PM
It's a cake.

My guitar teacher's wedding cake was shaped like a Parker.

The black kinda stained everyone's mouths so the pictures were quite hilarious, or so I'm told.

Thor the Impaler 06-27-2006 06:39 PM

Mmmm... I love cake! What flavor?

Devils Food cake = pwn
French Vanilla = pwn

Insomniac20k 06-27-2006 06:39 PM

Yay for guitar cake!

Insomniac20k 06-27-2006 06:40 PM

Chocolate I think. My girlfriend made it, she didn't tell me.

Me! 06-27-2006 06:40 PM

Oh snap, I forgot about my sister's birthday cheesecake. I'm gonna go get some now.

I also enjoy german chocolate cake. The coconut is what sells it for me I think.

Discuss your favorite cakes.

Insomniac20k 06-27-2006 06:41 PM

Cheese cake is good

Nihongo 06-27-2006 06:41 PM

Last birthday party I had was when I was 11, it was also my last cake, shaped like the pokemon Mew.

Back when Mew was cool and I was the only kid with the Red version to catch him.

Then at 14, I picked up the old LP and started playing and never worried about a fad or videogame again.

I'll be 16 this September, can't wait.

voodooramen 06-27-2006 06:41 PM
Cool cool.

They are very different actually. The V30 is a little more of an earlier breakup type speaker, has a more pronounced mid and some more on the treble end. honestly the hellatones make it sound more like a marshall breaking up when i crank it as opposed to the V30, which sounds like a nice fender breaking up. I guess this has to do with the midrange frequency differences, but they work in conjunction VERY well. Just two different beasts.

and sorry about the slow posting, im browsing alot of sites at the same time.

Nihongo 06-27-2006 06:42 PM

lol @ ME! getting some from his sister.

Nick 06-27-2006 06:42 PM

cheese cake is one of the best things ever

I think TBF is on so doucheworthy and coathanger should be disposed of pretty soon

Mew cake is still cool, and don't let anyone tell you any different. 16 is a pretty worthless mile stone though.

I guess you can drive but what's the point if you can't smoke and look at porn while doing it?

purple_hazer 06-27-2006 06:44 PM

AG's anti spam warning just broke...

Nihongo 06-27-2006 06:44 PM

I can get a job.

That means a Twin Reverb by Christmas. Minimum starting wage for alot of places here=7 to 8 bucks and hour. Gonna get as much work in as possible.

It'll be the best birthday ever.

Nick 06-27-2006 06:45 PM

I honestly don't think the actions of two retards warrant the closing of this thread

productive discussion goes on here

even though AES keeps negative repping me and telling me to "post better"

Insomniac20k 06-27-2006 06:45 PM

Ah I forgot about jobs.

They suck though :(

Nihongo 06-27-2006 06:46 PM

My temp account had more rep than this one, haha.

-15 vs. +9
Oh, and I'll do about anything for money.

I once drank Ipecac mid-class for 5$, but just a tiny swig so I didn't die.

Me! 06-27-2006 06:46 PM

The band mew was pretty cool.

I think yoyos were the best fad, honestly. Everyone I knew who was into pokemon just bought the cards and had no idea what to do with them, myself included.

I had some baseball cards around here somewhere, like one of nineteen of this Mickey Mantle card and a Micheal Jordan  baseball card.
