i love you nick. is it here forever or will it be deleted again?

Brain Toad 07-15-2005 12:46 AM

It is here forever, unless it ends up being bumped every day, to either keep it on the first page, or to just say something non-significant about the clash.

CombatRock 07-15-2005 12:47 AM

awesome, dont worry andy will keep us in line. so yall closed it why, i still didnt get the point?

Brain Toad 07-15-2005 12:53 AM

Because I wanted to screw with you guys, and because I was just getting tired of all the idiocy that goes down in here with all the clash whoring.

CombatRock 07-15-2005 12:56 AM

Thanks for bringing this back, I guess, like I said in slsk I'm not going to post in here as much and not make useless posts.

CombatRock 07-15-2005 01:53 PM

SlappedByTheClash 07-16-2005 02:07 PM

ANyone have Rock Art And The X-Ray Style? I'm starting to like it more than Global A Go-Go.

RCVA 07-16-2005 02:41 PM

Well, it's basically a four person thread. Or it used to be.

Now, we share the love! Yay for hippie ethics. those long haired b'astards

Jessizzle 07-16-2005 05:59 PM

From The specials bio, I thought it was kinda cool, I never knew they played together.
"After the clash's Joe Strummer had heard them preforming. The Specials were invited to be the souport act on the Clashs No Patrole UK tour which gave them national exposure for a brieft period they even shared the Clash's own management.

Yeah, Bernie (mis)managed Los Speciales after the guys told him to f'uck off.

I thought it was sweet that Elvis Costello produced their record. It should've been Joe though.

To put this all together, my friend thought Elvis Costello was in the Clash, and another friend thinks the Clash sounds like the Specials.

Long Shadow may be the best song Joe ever did, with or without El Clash Combo.

CombatRock 07-19-2005 01:23 AM

i wouldnt say Long Shawdow is his best its good but burning streets is maybe his best (not clash wise).

steve my FYE idk about yours but has music by catergory now, like metal, rock, punk rap ect.. what secion was your under?

No, I love that song, but my favorite is Global a Go-Go. I love the choruses.

(I know I'm not Steve, but) In ours they have JS and the Meskies under the punk/ska section. Unfortuneatly, they have about 7 streetcores and none of the others.

It's just under rock, we don't have punk sections.

guns_of_brixton 07-19-2005 11:43 AM

"Somewhere in my sooooul... there's always rock and roll!"

It may be my new favorite song.

Silvermedalmafia 07-19-2005 11:37 PM

Rock and roll by the velvet underground > all other rock and roll songs

CombatRock 07-20-2005 02:39 PM
"Somewhere in my sooooul... there's always rock and roll!"

im hooked on the version of White Man you sent me, i like that speed better then the one on the album.

guns_of_brixton 07-20-2005 02:57 PM

I forgot the one I sent you... is it the one where Joe starts talking about 'skaville'? Cause I've got one that's even faster than that. Anyway I like how Mick sings the "white youth, black youth" part.

CombatRock 07-20-2005 02:59 PM

he says nothing about skaville, unless its during the song?

Daniel! 07-20-2005 03:53 PM

I just heard my first 101ers album and I liked it alot. thier version of Junco Partner is the best version I've heard. I didn't have enough money to buy the album though.

CombatRock 07-20-2005 06:40 PM

can anyone send me 101ers Junco Partner? im not that big on the 101ers though there ok though.

guns_of_brixton 07-20-2005 06:42 PM
he says nothing about skaville, unless its during the song?
Yea, its when the harmonica would usually be.

And I think the 101ers Junco Partner is kinda weak.

Brain Toad 07-20-2005 06:44 PM

Joe Strummer is still dead :lol :lol

Forest_Fire 07-20-2005 06:47 PM
