wait.... friends UNCLE had secks with Jim Morrison
It's the 21st century... times they are 'a changin'.
not when Morrison was alive^
It was the 20th century, times they were 'a changin'

Happy?

Woodstock 08-23-2004 06:12 PM

Very much so.

Paranoidd 08-23-2004 06:20 PM

Morrison did have homosexual relationships, its pretty common.

jpj 08-23-2004 06:23 PM

it's common to have homosexual relationships? since when?

Badmoon 08-23-2004 06:32 PM

Since homosexuality has been accepted.

rocked not rolleded 08-23-2004 06:33 PM
it's common to have homosexual relationships? since when?
Begining in the mid 1970s and becoming more accepted every year since.

jpj 08-23-2004 06:44 PM

just because they're becoming more accepeted doesn't make them common.

Paranoidd 08-23-2004 06:54 PM

Uh, it sure does. Acceptance means more people come out of the closet.

rocked not rolleded 08-23-2004 06:56 PM
just because they're becoming more accepeted doesn't make them common.
Common enough for it to be expected...

Now let's stop spamming my thread.

Badmoon 08-23-2004 06:56 PM
just because they're becoming more accepeted doesn't make them common.
I think someone's got a little comming out of the closet to do. ;)

Paranoidd 08-23-2004 07:01 PM

Besides, like I said, its documented Morrison would **** anything that moves.

jpj 08-23-2004 07:02 PM

i'm not surprised considering he was probably on acid evreyday

themightyquinn23 08-23-2004 07:31 PM
You don't like the allmans or something?

In that case...Get out of my thread!
NO MORE ALLMANS!! THEY ARE A GOOD BAND, OK! CAN WE PLEASE STOP TALKING ABOUT THEM FOR 2 SECONDS??!?!

jpj 08-23-2004 07:36 PM

i agree lets talk about sabbath, or do they not qualify as classic rock?

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 08-23-2004 07:43 PM

They are classic rock......

Woodstock 08-23-2004 07:43 PM

Yes, they do. But I dont think anyone else likes them that much in this thread.

jpj 08-23-2004 07:45 PM

aww to bad

Woodstock 08-23-2004 07:46 PM

I like um though. Sweet Leaf and War Pigs are amazing songs.

jpj 08-23-2004 07:47 PM

hell yeah i just listened to them on the live reunion cd

NsD 08-23-2004 07:49 PM

This is only my first post ever, and Sabbath rocks. With a guy in ur band named Geezer, you gotta be good, right? But I'm not sure if I would label them as strictly classic rock, more like 70's metal. At the time it was all about disco so I would label them more as Classic Metal. LOL i dunno if thats stupid or not, it probably is, but you know, thats what i think.

jpj 08-23-2004 07:50 PM

do you like them better with or without ozzy

NsD 08-23-2004 07:51 PM

hmm... with ozzy. i mean, you just didn't get that certain feel without ozzy.

Woodstock 08-23-2004 07:52 PM

No. No. No. They are not metal, they are classic rock and what does disco have to do with it?

Btw, they're not Black Sabbath without Ozzy :D

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 08-23-2004 07:53 PM

They were way better with Ozzy

jpj 08-23-2004 07:53 PM

i agree i love ozzy's voice especially when he does that creepy laugh thing

Woodstock 08-23-2004 07:55 PM

The tone of his voice was meant for that band, and no one elses.

NsD 08-23-2004 07:55 PM
No. No. No. They are not metal, they are classic rock and what does disco have to do with it?

Ah, nothing really. I was just stating the fact that at the time they were popular, the music that was big at the time was very.. uh... fruity. so black sabbath was very different and their music was hard, if that makes sense.

NsD 08-23-2004 07:57 PM

alright well off the topic of black sabbath, who did u guys like more... rhodes or iommi?

jpj 08-23-2004 07:58 PM

iommi

Woodstock 08-23-2004 07:58 PM

A lot of great bands were around during the disco era. Zeppelin, The Who

Iommi. Way more original. He pulled off the perfect dark tone on his guitar.

good point, but in my point of view, black sabbath probably made the darkest music at the time. u know? i mean, i love led zeppelin, and the who and whatnot, but they weren't as hard as black sabbath for their time period.

yeah, i'd have to agree with iommi. but i still think rhodes isn't that far behind him :D

jpj 08-23-2004 08:01 PM

we could talk about zeppelin, or has that also been overly done on this thread?

Woodstock 08-23-2004 08:03 PM

Black Sabbath weren't really heavy in my opinion. They just droned their sound and used a lot of flats.

NsD 08-23-2004 08:04 PM

good point.
