Skyler 12-16-2008 12:02 AM

not feeling the vocals on calculated...

publicastration 12-16-2008 12:03 AM

well they're a lot easier to take if you listen to a lot of punk

which I do

so I'm used to vocals like that

Tyler 12-16-2008 12:11 AM

and when you consider he was 16

or you could always listen to "all the time" or "5th commandment" and you'll be like "these aren't so bad".

Iluvatar 12-16-2008 12:14 AM

this band sucks ugh

publicastration 12-16-2008 12:16 AM

listening to Fortress

ah this brings back memories of the spring semester haha I lived on this album.

Chriblan 12-16-2008 07:48 AM
rf = arif
Is it so hard to type "Arif"? No...

This band doesn't suck either! lol

Jev 12-16-2008 09:41 AM

rf is easier and it's what he's been going by for years now anyways

Jev 12-16-2008 02:50 PM

I'm thinking about playing something of PTH's for my University audition (its not that prestigous).

Stupid idea?

Benzilla 12-16-2008 03:00 PM

I'd play Spoils if you want to impress them with sweeps.

Chriblan 12-16-2008 04:11 PM

Hell yea, play Spoils or Sequoia Throne! Go for it, play that stuff for your audition.... lol

I doubt you'll get in. My friend went for upright bass and he had this classical song prepared and then he blanked and played Metallica instead and he didn't get in.

I got in for piano, I played an easy song called "Moonlight Sonata" and 2 peices they gave me to play. I'm halfway through my 2nd year in music.

If you wanna play PTH, go for it! Fight the power! FIGHT the war, **** the norm. lol

But, I doubt you'll get in.
rf is easier and it's what he's been going by for years now anyways
Ah, well, saying "rf" still sounds like "arif" anyways, lol...

they all have their little nicknames anyways. Timba, Choad...

I dunno, its a Popular music course so I don't see why it'd be a stupid thing to do... I've been told I have to do a sight-reading task and an improvisation over a blues piece, so its not like it'll be too hard.

And I'm very familiar with moonlight sonata, I love that piece.

Chriblan 12-16-2008 04:19 PM

Great piece, yes!

Well, if it's a popular music course then go for it!

My music program is "Bachelor of Music"

So that's majoring in an instrument and mastering sight singing, sight reading, rhythms, conducting, playing in ensembles etc...

It's a 4 year program, but I might double major in Piano and Tenor (or Alto) Sax.

I don't feel like majoring in piano and guitar (classical).

I can work on the guitar on my own, like I've been doing for 8 years and that way I can have 3 instruments that I can play amazingly under my belt. lol :)

But, yea, go for it. PTH all the way.

Jev 12-16-2008 05:01 PM

Oh yeah, I can definitely see how something like PTH wouldn't fit into a course like that :p

You catch on fast

Chriblan 12-17-2008 09:32 AM
You catch on fast
I know, eh? Surprisingly, I'm intelligent. Weird huh?

TheSyncopath 12-17-2008 09:38 AM

Alright, I've gotta check this band out. Which album do you guys recommend I listen to first? Kezia or Fortress?

Chriblan 12-17-2008 09:40 AM

Definitely Kezia first.

Fortress is just as crazy, but start with Kezia and then go from there.

Check out this song also (earlier stuff): I Am Dmitri Karamazov and the World is My Father

James46n2 12-17-2008 01:30 PM

Yay, tomorrow's show is being filmed for a DVD.

Jev 12-17-2008 01:31 PM

Cool, I'm sure I'll pick that up.

my god you're pretentious

Jev 12-17-2008 01:42 PM

My god what are you doing in here

Pastorius 12-17-2008 01:43 PM

I love PTH! In fact I'm wearing a PTH t-shirt right now.

Jev 12-17-2008 01:47 PM

I never knew that

hi5

Dimmu Burger 12-17-2008 01:49 PM

I am too fat for my 2 PtH shirts. I'm gonna put pillows in them and stretch em out!

Jev 12-17-2008 01:54 PM

Or send them to me I could probably fit.

:D

Dimmu Burger 12-17-2008 01:59 PM

Nah, I like em too much. I'll stretch em or lose weight.

Jev 12-17-2008 02:01 PM

That's understandable.

Every time I think about ordering one I'm skint :(

interviewer02 12-17-2008 02:04 PM

I have seven PTH shirts, one for every day of the week.
