About BBB (for whoever asked): GET THAT SH.IT NOW!

To ThrashMaster: Agent Orange is well worth it. Augstebomtb is so hilariously out-of-place that it's awesome. Just forget about the 9th track though.

Next thrash album, Show No Mercy or Hell Awaits?

Griffin_Page 06-28-2004 05:06 PM
Next thrash album, Show No Mercy or Hell Awaits?
Show No Mercy - More straight-forward thrash, Iron Maiden-style recording quality/sound.. good tracks, good solos. Altogether kickass.

Hell Awaits - Much darker, definately evil thrash. Great, epic songs. I don't like the solos as much, except for Crypts of Eternity and At Dawn They Sleep.. great solos there.

Corporal Compendia 06-28-2004 05:56 PM

Show No Mercy for sure man!

------
I can't wait for this year's Gates of Hell fest in Toronto... Anvil, Exciter, Razor and Infernal Majesty! Plus a bunch of other locals... I couldn't ask for a better show.

manuscriptreplica 06-28-2004 06:19 PM

Show No Mercy = Best Slayer album.

Sodom - Agent Orange - I don't really like this album, but its cool to have in my collection.
Coroner- Grin - If you don't think of it as a thrash album, and as a prog metal CD, you will like it.
Coroner - No More Colour - Haven't listened to it yet.
Mayhem - De Mysteriis - YEEHAW! I love this baby.
Grave Digger - Excalibur - Haven't listened to it yet.
Kreator - Pleasure to Kill - Not better than Coma of Souls, but still awesome.
Napalm Death Scum - Good music to kill someone to.
Dark Angel - Darkness Descends- What can I say?
Cryptopsy - Blasphemy Made Flesh - It has Open Face Surgery on it...

i dont know 06-28-2004 06:47 PM

hey can i join?

GraveRobbersINC 06-28-2004 06:54 PM

^Read first page rules, and talk to some of the upper class members

JMetallica 06-28-2004 08:41 PM

Sodom - Agent Orange - Sodom's best. Total thrashing madness.
Coroner- Grin - Big fan of coroner, but not a huge fan of this album. It tends to waffle on for too long.
Coroner - No More Colour - Excellent album, different to their first two; on the same level as RIP, not quite as good as PfD.
Mayhem - De Mysteriis - YEEHAW! I haven't heard this baby.
Grave Digger - Excalibur - Easily Grave Digger's most intense album. Excellent heavy speed metal. Modernish sounding, but still in the classic GD vein.
Kreator - Pleasure to Kill - Not better than Coma of Souls, but still awesome. Br00tl
Napalm Death Scum - like the mayhem, havne't heard.
Dark Angel - Darkness Descends- huh?
Cryptopsy - Blasphemy Made Flesh - Eh, this style of death metal doesn't really appeal to me, but I could still see how some could like it, I guess. :p

Excellent haul.

VADER Involved In 'Serious' Car Accident, Escape Unharmed

Polish death metallers VADER were involved in a "serious car accident" on Monday (June 28), according to a posting on the band's web site. "VADER had just finished up the first part of their European tour and had been driving down A1 towards Torun (Poland) when the other bus hit them, throwing the bus out on the opposite lane. Cracked car, destroyed trailer, but fortunately the band, staff and equipment managed to escape unharmed."

As previously reported, VADER's new album, "The Beast", is scheduled for release on September 20 through Metal Blade Records. The first single, including two new songs, will be released on August 25 with the 4/2004 issue of Thrash 'em All magazine.

"The Beast" was recorded at Radio Gdansk Studio with producer Piotr Lukaszewski ("Reign Forever World", "Revelations", "Blood") and is currently being mixed while the band are away on the first part of their European tour. Jacek Wisniewski is drawing the album artwork and other graphics. The mastering session is scheduled for July 1.

Argh! Get there! Hear Funeral Fog, now!

LordDargon 06-29-2004 09:55 AM

Nonsense. Reign in Blood always has been and always will be Slayer's best, and is the 2nd best thrash album on the planet.

I doubt I'll be able to make it. :upset:

_GanondorF_ 06-29-2004 11:39 AM

hmm just got overkill - killbox 13 and death angel - the art of dying

i was totally blown away the first and utterly disappointed by the second :upset:

can anyone recommend some death angel albums that are actually any good ?

oh and do overkill have a "definitve" album (e.g. BbB, DD, KEA, KIMB, RIB) etc.?

LordDargon 06-29-2004 11:47 AM

I don't know much about overkill. I'm not a big fan. I wrote a review for Death Angel - The Ultra Violence. Look it up. Thrash on \m/

personally, the way I look at is that the songwriting isn't very good on the album, it just kind of seems like all of the songs sound the same, don't get me wrong I love Reign In Blood, but I find Hell Awaits and Haunting The Chapel far more superior albums

milano mosh 06-29-2004 03:15 PM

I've heard Mayhemic Destruction by Mortal Sin and it's pretty good. I'll listen to more when I can find some.

Haunting the chapel is so good, the only downside is that its shorter than RiB,but ya it's my second favourite Slayer album,it would be #1 but RiB is longer so that puses it over the edge. :thumb:

yea HTC would be my fav if it wasn't so short

sensitiveorgan00 06-29-2004 10:04 PM

Man, just listened to Slayer's 'Hell Awaits'. This is like their best album.

JMetallica 06-29-2004 10:07 PM

Death Angel: The Ultra Violence

Overkill: Pretty much any! I'd probably say The Years Of Decay or Horrorscope are reguarded as their best. Out of those, i'd say get TYoD. E-limination and I hate are pretty much overkill classics.

Hehe, with overkill you can't go wrong. Any album of theirs will please, although mite want to stay away from 'From The Underground and Below' it is like half machine head half overkill - Although it still isnt bad. :D:D:D

JMetallica 06-29-2004 10:09 PM

Oh yeah, WFO was my first taste of overkill, and I still reguard it as their best. I love that album even though the bass is really ****ing loud.
