Plus its with some old freinds and we never get together anymore.
That's no friendship boy.
That's no friendship boy.
Maybe he likes to celebrate, if he has a good time let him have a good time.

4/20, I'll admit, is just a lame excuse to get stoned.
Maybe he likes to celebrate, if he has a good time let him have a good time.
Am I stopping him?

lunch998 04-16-2005 09:48 PM
Am I stopping him?
No, but you don't have to ruin his mood because he's excited about it.

Badmoon 04-16-2005 09:50 PM
No, but you don't have to ruin his mood because he's excited about it.
I'm not trying to question him, I'm trying to question his holiday. I dislike it, its kind of pointless, and is completely overhyped here.

And it does annoy me that our thread is now being looked at as a drug thread also.
I'm not trying to question him, I'm trying to question his holiday. I dislike it, its kind of pointless, and is completely overhyped here.
Completely overhyped? No one's ever talked about it here. You talk about doing LSD or finding shrooms all the time. This is the major reason why our thread is looked at as the "drug thread"

He just wants to smoke and chill with his friends, if it takes a day like 4/20 to do that, I say let him have his holiday.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 04-16-2005 09:57 PM

Thanks Lunch. :)

Hey Moon can you post some Space Wrangler?

And I am stopping that, and if you are thinking I am the only one who talks about drugs in here, than your though is false.
He just wants to smoke and chill with his friends, if it takes a day like 4/20 to do that, I say let him have his holiday.
Then go picket in front of the White House, I'm not stopping you.
Hey Moon can you post some Space Wrangler?
No, it is not on my computer. Ask RNR or JPJ, they have it also.

lunch998 04-16-2005 10:12 PM

I didn't say you were the only who talks about drugs, that's obviously not true. But on numerous occasions you have started a conversation about them because you post something about you looking for shrooms, or the negative affects of LSD.

And seriously, "Go picket in front of the White House"? That was the lamest thing I've ever heard. You don't have to picket in front of the White House to have a good time with your friends.

jpj 04-16-2005 10:14 PM

I would gladly post some if I was at my mom's where my music is located.

Glitterati 04-16-2005 10:23 PM

How about this: The drug talk stops NOW and we discuss classic rock again.

And Illmatic, your avatar is from possibly the funniest movie ever.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 04-16-2005 10:28 PM

Badmoon has no freinds.....what a rebel. :p

I do realize I smoke with freinds everyday but 4/20 is sentimental I mean its like how Cathlics love Easter. They go to church every Sunday but on Easter everyone shows up looking nice and the church does something special for everyone. It's kinda like that.

Back to Classic rock: Im kinda disappointed with Jimi Hendrix live at Berkley.

He was better in studio than live. I say.

The Dvd or Cd? I really like the CD.

I'm really digging Simon and Garfunkel right now. Their first album is good, it's got great harmonies and a nice soft sound to it.

I'm not saying you have to go picket infront of the White House to have a good time with friends. I'm saying if you support it (In the US), stand up for it. I don't care, do whatever. That was one ofr my points throughout this argument, I don't support this stuff, but I don't really care if you do.
I do realize I smoke with freinds everyday but 4/20 is sentimental I mean its like how Cathlics love Easter.
What! Easter is the celebration of the rising of the Christian messiah. Your "holiday" doesn't really have a point as great as that.

I think you can come up with a better comparison.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 04-16-2005 10:33 PM

The audio was great but the visuals sucked and it was way too short.

lunch998 04-16-2005 10:33 PM
The audio was great but the visuals sucked and it was way too short.
Oh, I only have the CD, so that would explain why I like it so much.

Who are you guys going for in the new poll?

To Badmoon: If he's not Christian in anyway, 4/20 may be more important to him than Easter.

/Done.

Badmoon 04-16-2005 11:01 PM
To Badmoon: If he's not Christian in anyway, 4/20 may be more important to him than Easter.
Unfortunately (IMO), he probably does.

But I recomend he realizes the significance of the "holiday". It is quite silly, and not even worth refering to in some cases.

As for the comparison, I will not try to get into it here. However, if he believes 4/2 (also Hitler's birthday) is a worthy comparison to Easter, than someone really needs to look at the significance of 4/20 (Most likely he does not know the importance of the date; most don't) and then compare it to what Easter Sunday represents to millions of people throughout the world.

/my opinions

The Drive-By Truckers are pretty good. I just bought an album by them. They are a bit cliche at times though.

PinkFreud 04-16-2005 11:32 PM

voted for beck

its sad that dave mustaine, who wasnt the best guitarist in either of his bands, is beating hendrix and beck...and buckethead...and others.

ATM 04-16-2005 11:37 PM

I voted for Hendrix, because he is a huge inspiration to me.

Well, I preffer Mustaine than Kirk.

I'm afraid that Jeff Beck won't pass through. It's a surprise that Van Halen has so litle votes, but I guess it won't be for long.

which is infuriating because he deserves it the most. except in influence. but even there, he opened the doors for guitar instrumentalists like vai, satriani, etc.

Mufasa. 04-17-2005 04:17 AM

Yeah, I voted Beck. Beck and Rhoads are the two best up there. I wish Buckethead would go through too, though. Anyway, if Beck goes through then I'm happy. :)

A combination of that and also that I'm not an arena-rock whore like some other people here.

I really want to get some Donovan, does anyone here own any of his albums?
