His vocal range is amazing, IMO he is one of the best singers there is. Even his metal vocals are top notch they are perfect.
No doubt he is a technically brilliant singer and for that he recieves all due respect, but I just don't like the growling. It's not my thing.

But I guess I am typing this whilst listening to: Porcupine Tree - Lazarus.

Jezen 03-06-2006 11:23 AM
Wow, that was an amazing show last night...

Dark Tranquility opened it off... okay as far as death metal goes, but not amazing.

Devil Driver was next... friggin INTENSE show. I think half the pit had bruises afterwards.

Then it was Opeth... fuggin amazing is all I can say. I went into the pit for the first few songs (a good 20 minutes, haha) but had to leave cause my shoelaces were untied (somehow). I don't think Lopez was there, but the guy they had instead looked like Legolas... it was quite funny. He was really good, though.

The whole concert was 4 hours or so. Man, that was amazing.

\m/
If Legolas played drums he would absolutely destroy Tim Waterson on double bass, without the stupid heel/toe thing that Tim plays most sloppily.

Little Android Man 03-06-2006 11:26 AM

i was just listening to Karn evil 9 by emerson lake and palmer, and the drums are pretty cool in that song....

just makin an observation

Shame Legolas had to be played by that ponce Orlando Bloom though. Legolas is a great character in the books but in the film he sucks donkey scote.

SkaRabbit 03-06-2006 11:48 AM

gimli is the sex.

Drum Phil 03-06-2006 11:58 AM

Suave, got any recordings?

Loyton 03-06-2006 12:14 PM

Phil, you know its bad luck to advertise the Illuminatus if you ARENT IN the Illuminatus.... bad karma, they acutally had one of thier higher level priests cast a spell about 200 years ago that cursed impersonators, but who knows if its still working.

Jezen 03-06-2006 12:15 PM

If the caster has perished is the curse not dispelled?

/Ex Warhammer nerd.

Josiah 03-06-2006 12:16 PM
Hah Thanks. I saw that music video once... It was awesome.
There was a music video for Get Your Walk On?

Holy cow. That's a pretty brutal song, it must have been edited very heavily.... haha very heavily.

Drum Phil 03-06-2006 12:16 PM

Oh noes. I have bad luck anyway.

The illuminati died years ago anywho

Loyton 03-06-2006 12:19 PM

This was no lowly priest. Anyone entrusted with that kind of power does not cast temporary curses.

And thats what they would like you to think phil.

They just cant afford another confrentation with the chrurch, think about it, if people did know of thier exisentence in this day and age, it would spread on the internet like wildfire. Pop culture and scences all over the world would instantly latch onto it like a leech.

Being in a secret society would be "the cool thing to do"

They cant afford being known.

Drum Phil 03-06-2006 12:21 PM

To be fair, they'd have a job trying to join. Do you know the recruiting procedure?

Loyton 03-06-2006 12:41 PM

Extremely strict and monitered, they case their members for years before even considering them as an acutall member.

Drum Phil 03-06-2006 12:42 PM

The path of illumination? ;)

Tim 03-06-2006 12:49 PM

SkaRabbit 03-06-2006 01:03 PM

Should have known :p

The illuminati wouldnt have priests considering their war against the church.

Skarabbit, more like the Op Ivy and Common Rider style ska then?

Josiah 03-06-2006 01:07 PM

There is a society of people who rule the earth, far above any government or country.

It's not even secret, everyone knows about them, everyone pays their dues to them and nobody seems to really care about taking them down from their seats of power.

It's called the oil tycoons.

Drum Phil 03-06-2006 01:10 PM

The illuminati also controlled a lot in their time. Hence the All Seeing Eye appearing on the american dollar bill
