Jody LeCompte 06-01-2006 12:21 AM

I don't need to fuck myself, both Eden amps have multiple input jacks. :D

...but if it makes you feel any better, I don't play very well?

Janeway 06-01-2006 05:24 AM

You have a very chubby face.

Aw.

I just woke up from a dream about Switch from the Matrix.
This is the second one this week.

Drum Phil 06-01-2006 06:11 AM

So, the local chemical plant exploded last night, shaking the entire city.

Jody LeCompte 06-01-2006 08:59 AM

Is that a Grind or a Cirrus?

...

I want it.

Drum Phil 06-01-2006 09:03 AM

Grind BXP

We_Love_Lime 06-01-2006 09:19 AM
Strongholds still going strong. That's nice to see.

So what has everone been up to recently, havn't been around much recently.
Nothing.

I noticed.

Hey.

Jody LeCompte 06-01-2006 09:21 AM

I almost bought a Grind sixer but I decided against it.

I want a Cirrus.

Drum Phil 06-01-2006 09:27 AM

Through a Peavey Basic 112 amp it sounds like pure sex

Jody LeCompte 06-01-2006 09:30 AM

As well as just about through anything else over the price of 99.99, I'd imagine.

Seriously nice basses.

We_Love_Lime 06-01-2006 09:31 AM

I wish I could play the bass.

Or the Ukelele.

I'm stuck on the phukin drums.

Jody LeCompte 06-01-2006 09:34 AM

I played drums years and years ago but my parents just assumed because I was younger I didn't really want to play so they never bought me lessons and sold my little kit as soon as I outgrew it.

At this point in time, I'd give up bass, ukelele, guitar, and keys to play drums. I can't get a set until I move out or kill my neighbors though.

We_Love_Lime 06-01-2006 09:36 AM

That's unfortunate.

I've always loved the bass.

But The drums are killer as well.

Jody LeCompte 06-01-2006 09:38 AM

Well, for the longest keyboard/piano seemed cheesy and guitar distortion just didn't sound...good to me. So bass was an obvious choice. I still try to keep track of what's going on in the drumming world and pick up what I can where I can because I have every intention of grabbing some sticks again. Only two more years of highschool

We_Love_Lime 06-01-2006 09:41 AM

I was killer at piano, but I played too much Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and that crap. My teacher wouldn't twist it up, with Jazz, Hip Hop, Blues, R & B.

Reggae is one of my favourite genres, and the bass and organ/keyboard are very prominent in the music, so...

It's good your going to pick up the drums too... you won't regret it.

Maybe you will.. It's hella expensive;).

Haha but it's oh so worth it.

Jody LeCompte 06-01-2006 09:46 AM

I'm mostly a jazz and funk player so I could probably get away with one of those cheaper $4000 dollar sets.

I dont mind spending the money on any of my gear, that amp I posted a few pages back was $300 and the head was $1600. It's worth it to sound good enough to really get people moving.

EDIT: Blues and R&B keyboard are two of the most rewarding things you can pick up in life, by the way. I love my keys.

We_Love_Lime 06-01-2006 09:56 AM

Yeah that's coool

Jazz and Funk?

Sonor Jungle Set. I swear by them, never played them.
But they kick my ***.

I wouldn't know about amps and crap hahaha, I'm so stupid ( when i comes to guitars, basses, electronics, amps etc ).

I wouldn't know about R&B and Blues keyboard, hehe.. I wish I did.

Maybe in College.

Drum Phil 06-01-2006 09:58 AM

I want the jungle set to add to a normal set

We_Love_Lime 06-01-2006 09:58 AM

Hehe Yeah Yeah.

That'd be cool.

Jody LeCompte 06-01-2006 10:02 AM

The guitarist from my acoustic band left all sorts of hand percussion here three or so years ago, I just stuck it in the attic. -shrug-

Drum Phil 06-01-2006 10:03 AM

Percussion FTW

We_Love_Lime 06-01-2006 10:04 AM

I got a video of me playing the Doumbek ( D'rbeke ).

I love Arabic Music.

and Black Uhuru.

Drum Phil 06-01-2006 10:05 AM

Theres only one true music :) The fusion of brass, guitars, bass, drums, harmonised vocals and possibly keys and synth

We_Love_Lime 06-01-2006 10:07 AM

The Skatatlites.

Oh and Phil, Streetlight Manifesto is one kick *** band.

Jody LeCompte 06-01-2006 10:09 AM

I keep meaning to buy some Streetlight Manifesto. I won shopping yesterday for CDs but I got Buddy Guy, Duke Ellington, and James Brown instead.

Drum Phil 06-01-2006 10:11 AM

I was expectin you to be like... JAZZ.

Ska FTW.

Streetlight Manifesto
Catch22
Voodoo Glowskulls
The Hot Quiche Conspiracy
The Wayriders
The Aquabats
The Gangsters Of Ska
Link80
Capdown
Less Than Jake
Reel Big Fish
King Prawn
Operation Ivy
Big Rig
Common Rider
Shoot The Moon

Woot.

Jody LeCompte 06-01-2006 10:12 AM

I like every style of music I've been exposed to so far, but I'm still trying to find more.

Jazz is my favorite genre though...

We_Love_Lime 06-01-2006 10:12 AM

THE SKATATLITES!

what's ska without The Skatalties, they even have the word SKA IN their name !!!!

Jody LeCompte 06-01-2006 10:13 AM

I have an album by some ska-punk band called Skankin' Pickle. They're seriously cool.

Drum Phil 06-01-2006 10:13 AM

So do Ska-P. I jus didnt put them in

We_Love_Lime 06-01-2006 10:14 AM

I don't have any Cds.

I got Sly and The Family Stone's greatest hits for 2 bucks.

That's it pretty much.

Drum Phil 06-01-2006 10:16 AM

I have around 500 albums on my computer and 300 CD's.

But im a DJ so its to be expected

Jody LeCompte 06-01-2006 10:17 AM

I just started buying cds recently because I recorded a demo and everyone just downloaded it when I needed money for drugs.

EDIT: Thats me right there, 374 cds on my PC at last count.
