Someone in here said it really sucked.
Man, that sucks. |
Somebody else appreciates Badge as much as I do
They really make great music together though, Badge, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Wah-Wah, and that jam on ATMP. It would be awesome if they recorded a full album together.
I love Badge. |
My dad said his band used to cover Badge, so whenever I play it he starts doing air guitar.
My dad said his band used to cover Badge, so whenever I play it he starts doing air guitar.
My dads band also used to do a cover of that. Recently I got Eric Clapton's live cd One More Care, One More Rider and Badge on there, and done really well. |
Nobody will upload Bitches Brew for me, I guess I'm too noob in the Jazz Yousendit thread.
Badge is a great riff, very fun to play also. And to MYR a "Beatles" song that uses wah, George Harrison - Wah-Wah  |

Badge is done really well on the live Clapton cd I bought a couple weeks ago, The Rainbow Concert. Great solo. The only fault I can find with that song is that it is too short. |
Clapton + Harrison's wife = great songs (Layla and other Assorted Love Songs, anyone?)
I just hate Bolton and I hate Bush for bypassing congress and putting him in the UN anyway /political |
Ohhhh, okay. I got a little worried there. And confused. You said you were raised by hippies, and I was unaware that anyone who was raised by hippies would like Bush or Bolton. But now I know.

...just your average neo-conservative hippies  NP: A Love Supreme Part 1 |
Well, it could be your way of rebelling against your patients. Or something.
NP: James Gang - Funk #49 |
Well, it could be your way of rebelling against your patients. Or something.
NP: James Gang - Funk #49
Like that TV show from the 80's with Michael J. Fox  ...seiously though, about Classic Rock |

Or maybe Michael Bolton, the character from the movie Office Space.

Did you see on The Daily Show last night when they did a mocked-up pic of him when he was a little kid? I was laughing for two, three minutes
|
Or maybe Michael Bolton, the character from the movie Office Space.
That movie rocks  But the Bolton that Walrus posted had a goofy little walrus mustache. |

Yeah  I loved it when he implied that a dog with it's face shaved (except for the mustache) would look like John Bolton |

I know a friend who has the Concert for George on CD. Maybe I can burn it from him and upload it here.
/late |
I just got a VHS of a Pete Townshend concert called Deep End (It was five bucks. Very eighties. The drummer is wearing a baseball uniform, but it's good music.), Tommy on CD (So I can drum along without having to change sides/records), and Best of James Taylor (Single version of Country Road is far superior than the one released on Sweet Baby James). Granted, I wouldn't just buy an album for one song. James Taylor rules anyways.
Top Five songs by the post-Beatles Beatles: 1. Maybe I'm Amazed - Paul 2. Instant Karma - John 3. Looking for my Life - George 4. Live and Let Die - Paul 5. Any Road - George That was a sub par list, but I'm tired. |

 That was very funny. I liked that episode a lot. |
I saw part of Alice's Restaurant last night.
There was a jam with Arlo Guthrie and Pete Seeger. |
…and surrender with him and santana
0.o He did stuff with Santana? Could you upload some of it? I’ll love you forever. Didn’t realise you’re such a fan, heh.
Man, I really love some jazz fusion. Bitches Brew can be too heavy at times...it's really daunting, even for a double album, which that is often true of. But if your're in the mood for it and have the time to listen to it, it's a genuinely great experience just to listen to how adventurous it is, and how you feel that they're trying something really different...McLaughlin's a great guitarist as well. Some Mahavishnu Orchestra stuff leaves me cold, but guitarists like him, Corea and DiMeola have a great feel for their instrument.
Yea, you’re right, I find Bitches Brew to be too…. Daunting is the word here yea, I can’t listen to it the whole way through, I gotta take it bit by bit. I haven’t heard much stuff either than BB with Corea, is there anything you recommend? Mclaughlin is definitely one of the greatest guitarists ever… he uses some wired, unique scales… ‘s intresting as hell. DVG. |
Woah. That's pretty sweet. That Donovan record is supposed to be good. Just to name one from that list.
Ummmmmm......................................where the hell is Imagine? I think that should top any post-Beatle recordings.
Ok, I'll put Imagine in in place of Live and Let Die. But not at the top though, because I like Instant Karma better. |

I'm lucky if I get 3 CDs for my birthday. Then again I ask for other things other then CDs. Like drum equipment, movies, misc. stuff, maybe games. |
That was my whole birthday gift, which I'm pleased with. Basically I just tell my parents what I want and they get it for me. Usually around $200. I like the system.
