<3

Are they really terrible live? Maybe I shouldn't drive all the way out to Glendale then.

The Antique 09-11-2007 05:51 PM

I really didn't like them. Granted they played at Full Force. But, I was really looking forward to seeing them and they were really hokey and lame.

Anxious 09-11-2007 05:57 PM

They're kinda teetering on the edge of hokey as it is.

Upsilon might be fun to see live though.

The Antique 09-11-2007 05:59 PM

I guess you never read my intensely negative review of Upsilon.

heh

Anxious 09-11-2007 06:02 PM

Well they are kinda one of the lower caliber math rock bands. I don't see how it couldn't be a fun show though, two drummers and all.

The Antique 09-11-2007 06:06 PM

Yeah. It'd probably be a fun night. Cheap also.

Anxious 09-12-2007 01:43 PM

They played at the Troubadour last night and I missed them :(

Kage 09-12-2007 01:45 PM

Me too, because I had a night class. I'm lamenting right now by binging. :upset:

Archers of Loaf - Icky Mettle

Anxious 09-12-2007 01:51 PM

I just didn't feel like driving to West Hollywood by myself. Whenever I go down there it takes 2 people to navigate those insane freeways. I'm probably going to miss Low that way also.

Kage 09-12-2007 01:53 PM

 Yeah, I know what you mean.

Glad someone digs, I love the opening track a lot.

Sebadoh - Harmacy
Dirty Projectors - Rise Above

I saw Harmacy sitting on my desk as I was leaving this morning so I took it with me. "Beauty of the Ride" still kicks so much ***. Dirty Projectors' is goofy, they played a show here yesterday that I would have gone to if I didn't have a stupid night class. Bunch of Black Flag "covers," I haven't listened to the originals in a long time.

Venetian Snares - Songs About My Cats

It's alright.
