But I don't discredit heavy metal just because a ton of fags listen to it. I respect it for the content and don't care about the fans (who suck).
Well yeah, I'm a liberal. I'm just saying in my experience, liberals are more prone to question other people's opinions on things. Like how Atheists like to start **** with Christians.

Moon Flavor 10-29-2008 09:30 PM

So I used to have this real conservative friend it was fun to debate with but then he became a single issue guy, and the issue was abortion, so now he sort of sucks to talk to about interesting things. Sad.

My favorite day was when he was like "So you like to kill babies?" when I said I was pro abortion and I said "Yes. =)"

@Deth: Yeah no I agree, I'm just saying that people suck basically. Ideas are good though.

Deth 10-29-2008 09:32 PM

ugh single issue people are annoying as hell

Angmar 10-29-2008 09:34 PM

I like getting into arguments with people about gay marriage, typically their only argument is "keeping the sanctity of marriage" when there's way more issues supporting it, i don't have many friends against it though, even the more conservative ones.

Iluvatar 10-29-2008 09:34 PM

conservatives are just as prone to question other peoples opinions on things. it depends on where you live.

Permanent Solution 10-29-2008 09:36 PM

On a related note to conservatism, I think I may be finding god.

I was starting to get poor and then last week while on my trip I got an email that was like "Hello, you are getting $7000 from us for being awesome. Congratulations." srsly, someone is watching out for me.

adb 10-29-2008 09:37 PM

Permanent Solution 10-29-2008 09:39 PM

Deth 10-29-2008 09:41 PM

I wish I was smart enough to get money for staying alive.

Permanent Solution 10-29-2008 09:41 PM

Angmar 10-29-2008 09:44 PM

I have a 32k college fund that I'll have access to for paying for a new computer, rent and other assorted living costs when I move to Seattle, so that's nice. :)

Deth 10-29-2008 09:46 PM

Permanent Solution 10-29-2008 09:46 PM

32k for how many years?

Also, important question: Which god is it I should be finding. I don't want to choose the wrong god and stop getting moniez. :(

Xplisit 10-29-2008 09:46 PM

Angmar 10-29-2008 09:51 PM

I don't think I can technically use it for booze because you have to get what you're buying with it approved :\
32k for how many years?
4 years, which I know isn't enough but if I don't get into UW(good chance) I'll be going to comm college for 2 years and then transferring, and since I'm so overqualified for a comm college I could probably get my education there for free.

Permanent Solution 10-29-2008 09:52 PM

UW is apparently competitive as hell, and expensive as hell. My cousin went there last year but this year she went to a CC because her parents stopped paying ^_^

CC is cheap anyways so it's pretty close to free anyways.

Deth 10-29-2008 09:56 PM

In Florida CC is almost the same price as university because our tuition rates are lowest in the country.

Angmar 10-29-2008 09:56 PM

Yeah I have a good chance of getting into UW because I have ties with their band director and stuff, even if I don't make it in I can still go to comm college and do UW band, which is awesome.

Some parts of me almost would rather start off at comm college, because I wouldn't have to live on campus, but I'll still apply at UW.

This

Permanent Solution 10-29-2008 09:58 PM

AZ is pretty low as well but I'm out of state which would kill if I were paying tuition =x

But what's funny is even out of state, ASU is cheaper than cal schools for cal residents, so a lot come here and still pay less than they would for an in state public...

The band here (Marching Chiefs) are the largest in the country and practice two hours a day everyday during football season. I do not envy them.

Angmar 10-29-2008 10:01 PM

From talking to the UW guys they have a few days in the year where they practice like 10 hours and then it's not too difficult from then on.

adb 10-29-2008 10:08 PM

Omg here's my grade so far in accounting:

Deth 10-29-2008 10:11 PM

do your homework

Iluvatar 10-29-2008 10:11 PM

Well the thing is CC fees are like 60 dollars as opposed to how much the uni fees are, which are a lot higher. its like 4.4k as opposed to 2.2k in tuition and fees for the two in FL.

whoah was talkin g about fl tuition page turn!

Deth 10-29-2008 10:13 PM

I think my tuition is in the mid 3K range off the top of my head. I know the fees bring it up a bit though.

adb 10-29-2008 10:13 PM
do your homework
only 2 people did, instructor didnt say we had any

**** got a midterm in that class tomorrow

gmoneyguy 10-29-2008 10:20 PM

My uni tuition is twice as much as my CC tuition was. 2k v. 1k., but the paying for books and living on my own is what's really expensive.

Angmar 10-29-2008 10:21 PM

It's like 1k(which I could probably get for free in scholarship) a year for comm college and like 15k for UW, pretty steep.

adb 10-29-2008 10:21 PM

my tuition is about 3k a year
