Ok guys, cool suggestions but they say it needs to be personal to me, and something i do in august. I realy should of said this.

The best idea i have is making muse out of paper mashhey. Using the book.

because i will see them, at leeds, in august, and i like them lots.

GurS 06-24-2006 02:38 PM

hate politics/relgion in august? :p

If you're going to leeds, following on from your muse idea:

Remove the pages of the book
Put the cover on a piece of wood 'upside-down' so that it looks like a tent, and glue it down.
Paper-mache you and all your friends in/outside the tent. mebbe, if enough paper, make a stage & put muse on the stage.

It could be a cool little landscape thing.

Or not, ya know.

NP: The Kinks - Waterloo Sunset

Kinks are good :)

Untitled 06-24-2006 02:41 PM

I was thinking about a tent idea, but the brief i got says "take your book apart and ressesemble it as - as bag, a box, a sheet, a tent, a hat"

so i threw that out of the window, because i didnt wanna look like i cant create my own thing.

GurS 06-24-2006 03:35 PM

how about... a scale model of the earth?

now THAT would be impressive

Untitled 06-24-2006 03:44 PM

Haha.

Would take to long.

I have 3 months to do it, so im sure i will think of something spectacular.

GurS 06-24-2006 03:47 PM

Paper Mache lip-ring :p

Untitled 06-24-2006 03:48 PM

Is that the best you can do

GurS 06-24-2006 03:51 PM

As it seems there are three of us here on a saturday night, that may well be true :upset:

Well, I've got an excuse, I'm still in the exam period. What's your two's excuses?

Dead Star 06-24-2006 03:53 PM

Hey Guys, the football was good today.

Sup?

Untitled 06-24-2006 03:54 PM

Oh god gur, TOO FAR!!!!

Pajj, i dont wanna look like a lamo, im trying to shrug that off me so i may actully pull at uni :(.

Not that i will abandon MX.

But imaging me going in on the first day.

Tutor - "So, what is the significance of this 'mx' "
me - "Well, when im bored...."

GurS 06-24-2006 03:55 PM

Four of us :p

NP: Stones - Going Home

Germany game was alright. The pairing of the two german strikers were alright, but in my eyes, there is only one german pairing worth anything:

Schnieder & Hutter

Dead Star 06-24-2006 04:00 PM

The first half of the Argentia game was one of the best halves of football I've seen for a while.

bah rubbish excuse, never stopped me :p
i used to go out more, but i'm just bored of the whole scene and the people, plus alot of my good friends from last year went off to uni, and don't actually live round here.

GurS 06-24-2006 04:04 PM

Yeh, I find that I get bored very much with my surroundings. For a period of time, EVERY WEEKEND was just the same bunch of people getting stoned round on of our houses. Got boring very quickly. Clubs I don't like, either. Give me a nice semi-classy bar any day.

Dead Star 06-24-2006 04:06 PM

I'm 15, so its either go to a mates house, or hang about on some high class street corners for me.

Or stay in, you know how it is.

GurS 06-24-2006 04:08 PM

I'm currently listening to "Going Home" by the stones.

Has anyone ever heard the Ten Years After version from woodstock?

'Tis great, 'tis. The movie, ya see, was on film four a while ago. And i'm in the midst of watching it - sky+. Glorious invention, so 'tis.

yeah, i like a bar, not many great ones around here, i like the sushi bar, but that gets expensive quick, i don't really mind clubs, just most play **** music, and it's not the music as such, just the type of person it tends to attract.
I'm 15
Yep, I'm pretty sure thats illegal.

ChodaBoy 06-24-2006 04:12 PM

I found some good ol' crap routing through my room.

Including:

A yoyo
6 receipts from 1998
Around 250 bus tickets
A condom
A 1GB hard drive
A 15GB hard drive
3 Packs of old guitar strings
And a "Robin In Sherwood" book rewritten by myself and some others now called "Robin In Shaggingwood".

123 on both counts.

A nice bar, you can sit and chat with people, tell jokes without having to shout yourself hoarse, smoke yerself a nice cigar.... instead of having girls aloud blasted at full volume as you get pushed against a mass of sweaty people in a hot and humid room with over-priced drinks, a really greasey nasty piece of work trying to chat up your female friends and some skinhead throwing up in the corner.

/my experience of just about every club i've been to. go-go bars++

Prostitution's illegal anyway.

Dead Star 06-24-2006 04:18 PM

It would be even more illegal then.

You don't have to do that, just use it as a test of friendship. "If you were my friend, you'd let me paper mache you for my art college thing. Look, I'll leave holes for your nose and mouth to feed you, and a little hatch at the back for a colostomy bag. It'll be fun!"
