Oh, just a multi. I distrust them. I always buy big, expensive, single effect units.

BenJammin 10-26-2006 09:59 PM
That's so weird.
Yeah, I know. Ah well.

Clown: You want a sweet effect? On the first section, set it to mid boost, on the distortion one, set it to 'metal' and adjust the knobs for a crisp, gritty distortion, on the third one, enable delay/chorus, and then hit the expression pedal and set it to octave up and put the pedal all the way up.

Play. ;)

The Brad 10-26-2006 10:00 PM

J-retro pre, villex jazz pups, ehx small clone, hao rust ride, fretless jazz bass, driftwood p. :P

Efrim 10-26-2006 10:01 PM

How much for the rust ride, and how well does it work on bass?

BenJammin 10-26-2006 10:02 PM
I would defnitely be interested. Good thing it's later though, I'm using up my resources for a cab, more pedals, and Jandek CDs.
Yeah, it won't be till summer at the absolute earliest. In all honesty, it would be way cheaper for me to just buy a second RC-50 than to get a Looperlative.

Efrim 10-26-2006 10:04 PM

Lawl, you spendwhore you.

One Groovin Clown 10-26-2006 10:04 PM

One of my favs is as follows.

T edge wah, metal and phaser.

With that, I run my right hand over my b-string over the pickups. That gives me a weird background fuzz noise, then i use my left hand to tap some darker riffs.

I did that at a gig once. I had my back turned to the crowd and everyone was saying "wtf, that's crazy man!!".

That metal distortion is easily the best one on there, seriously. It's soooo good. I've used it in so many songs.

If you want to hear what the effect I just described sounds like...

http://www.myspace.com/benlesser

And listen to "Silence." It's the 'lead' line.

The Brad 10-26-2006 10:07 PM

This RR was made for bass, clips:

I was thinking $80 shipped, but since you're in Canada I may have to charge shipping.

One Groovin Clown 10-26-2006 10:09 PM

That's pretty sweet.

Hmmm, this gives me some ideas.

If I loop my effect riff then play a lead using your effect, oh man.

Perfect combination.

Efrim 10-26-2006 10:10 PM

I guarantee it won't be before christmas, but I like the sound.
Since it's a pedal, it might ship via normal mail.
Is that a mannequin behind you?

The Brad 10-26-2006 10:10 PM

Yeah my mom bought it at a yard sale to scare the neighbors, (they "spied" on us).

Damnit, that Mastodon shirt is still missing.

Noise city.

One Groovin Clown 10-26-2006 10:12 PM

Nah, more like sweetness.

Efrim 10-26-2006 10:12 PM

Brad, can you give me a clip with the gain turned all the way up? Or do you no longer have an amp?

User Name 10-26-2006 10:12 PM

I almost wore the same shirt I wore yesterday to school today. I found my TMC shirt just in time.

The Brad 10-26-2006 10:15 PM

I have an amp, no cab.
It doesn't really work on gain, it has three different presets and then volume.

BenJammin 10-26-2006 10:15 PM
Nah, more like sweetness.
That's exactly what I said. :p

hmmm, that might be a problem. What are the presets?

The Brad 10-26-2006 10:25 PM

Yeah it definitely takes some getting used to.
"Normal, bright, warm"
Warm is like a more muted version of Normal, I think I was always using Normal or bright depending on my mood.

Efrim 10-26-2006 10:27 PM

I really wanted to boost my gain significantly for more feedback....That's why I wanted to control it.

Akira 10-26-2006 10:27 PM

Any of you fine guys listen to Bleed the Dream?

Efrim 10-26-2006 10:29 PM

Niet, are they good?

The Brad 10-26-2006 10:30 PM

Yeah, this pedal is more of just a "set it and forget it" type thing, you can adjust the volume and the tone with the 3 way switch (not a huge difference in settings) but I dunno... it's just cool for that vintage Marshall sound.

Efrim 10-26-2006 10:31 PM

Hmm, sorry, my interest has waned. I'm happy with my fuzz pedal for distorted tones.
Anyway, I'm going to sleep, night folks.

Akira 10-26-2006 10:32 PM
Niet, are they good?
Brilliant. Their music is sort of hardcore, but they also put out an acoustic EP that has some of the best acoustic music I have ever heard. Plus their live show is awesome, and they are just really nice guys.

So, not having internet sucks.

irishslappop 10-26-2006 10:50 PM

no one wants to have a yim jam?

Akira 10-26-2006 10:52 PM

Crap, there is a movie coming on tv in a minute that is six hours long.

Jody LeCompte 10-26-2006 10:54 PM

I got to play the jazz club a last night. I got to play Coldshot by SRV, Everyday I have the Blues as played by Albert King, and Use Me by Bill Withers.

Good night :thumb:

HELLonWHEELS 10-26-2006 10:55 PM

Irish, do you want me to sign on? I can try to plug in, but one of the wires in my bass is shorted so it might sound ****ed up.

irishslappop 10-26-2006 11:04 PM

HELLonWHEELS 10-26-2006 11:05 PM

:(
I hear you man... I'm out. I'll have to settle for some other substances instead.

Jody LeCompte 10-26-2006 11:26 PM

Cigarettes are just too hard to get down here. The local stores have been CRAWLING with alcohol and tobacco control..

I cant decide if I feel like a malboro menthol short or a camel turkish silver though...

PaulSimonon 10-26-2006 11:28 PM

Go for the 72s.

And don't you work at a supermarket? Know anyone that stocks? Have them say a box is "damaged", "throw it out", and have free cartons of smokes.

Jody LeCompte 10-26-2006 11:30 PM

I'm actually afraid to steal from the store... I want to work myself up to management. :upset:

I got hooked from smoking camel turkish golds and sivlers, but then I always end up bumming the menthol shorts on a blue box and I like those too. It depends on if Im in my "I want to go outside and get cancer" or my "I need a nicotine chill to get me through two more hours of work" mood.
