very....they are french and one of the founding members is also a highly organized leader of the french demonic/black metal scene. This particular hipster band is deep with details and ensconced in evil
SOUNDS PRETTY HIP TO ME

im pretty sure all the black metal i listen to would be considered some entry level hipster shit, so it doesnt really matter to me. im gonna check that album cause ive been meaning to get more bm

SugarCoatedSour 07-16-2011 06:19 AM

I've only heard that album, but it's very genuine. The guitars are tracked in some really weird intervals, giving it this sweeping, dark sound.

DBlitz 07-16-2011 10:35 AM

their 20 min ep/song, "Chaining the Katechon" is my favourite material from them

amesoeurs is almost death/black metal but its not very \m/ and sounds like shoegaze at times. maybe its good entry-level hipster metal for ppl who dont really like metal (me)

Bill Schulz - Bill Schulz

Green Bay local legend. older cousin. debut album 16 years in the making. got a write-up in the paper, people clapped. haven't had a chance to listen to it, but it's some lush indie-pop stuff apparently. super proud of him.

edit: the indie pop has smart and delicate qualities too
