Nobody does! Oh wait, some people do. But only 3% of the country.

I'm a libertarian, so I don't have a party to support, though I do respect this guy. Expecially since he doesn't support their platform on genetically modified food.

To be perfectly honest, apart from the separatist deal, the Bloc is the most logical party.
How do you figure?

is anyone watching the new south park?

They want to help students, and seem to have a sound plan for it, though only quebecois. They support globalization(ironically) and want to endorse the Kyoto Protocol. They also have a more libertarian approach to governing, which is a big pro in my book.

Unfortunately, since it's all centered in Quebec, they're big assholes.

Spaceman Spiff 10-04-2006 09:29 PM

I just can't fully support any party.

If I were American, I'd vote Democrat. As a Canadian, I don't vote.

HELLonWHEELS 10-04-2006 09:29 PM

congrats, just 1000 till you reach the 10,000 club.

Notice the complicated math involved. :)

Are you mocking me because I'm an arts student?

Because if you are... I'm too stupid to pick up on it. I am, after all, an arts student.

Spaceman Spiff 10-04-2006 09:31 PM

Globalization would surely screw over a lot of small countries that no one cares about anyway, but it's crap anyway. Hooray! Let's make the rich richer and the poor poorer! That's all that matters! If you're poor now, you sure don't matter to us!

I'd vote if it didn't require you to vote for a specific MP in your riding. First Past the Post is not what I like.

Fair enough. I was interested in what you had to say. I don't pay much attention to the Bloc since they're only active in Quebec, and since I don't support them having federal representation as a result.

I've always thought it would be funny to see if I could run for them in Alberta.....

Fine, then we might as well just bomb those poor countries until they don't exist anymore because they're just going to continue to get worse and worse.

You should get a Bachelors Degree of Philosophy.

A properly institutionalized plan for globalization would remedy that.

As for the possibility of that happening.....
You should get a Bachelors Degree of Philosophy.
Lawl.

Speaking of university, what are you planning on doing, Jesse?

Efrim 10-04-2006 09:38 PM

English.
Concordia or McGill.

Are you making fun of me because yesterday i screwed up the fact that I thought Machavelli was from the enlightenment Period when i really mistoke him for Montesquieu?
English.

Oh, snap. Good call. Concordia is in Halifax, isn't it? Or Nova Scotia, at least?

You should consider STU, too. :p I'll put you up in my house for the duration of your degree.

Mr. Pickle 10-04-2006 09:42 PM

that episode was great.

That's exactly my point. Globalization is a lot like Communism in that it will never work the way that it should, the way that it does on paper.

Unless you're rich, then globalization works perfectly because you probably don't care about the poor.

I wasn't on for that. But let me take this opportunity to say:

Haha!

No, it's just a Philosophy Degree is completely useless. At least a Bachelor's

I disagree, it has more chance of happening then communism will. Through a gradual process, it will. It's already occurring, examples being NAFTA and the EU.

Concordia's in Montreal too.

Careful, free lodging is not something I'd pass up very easily...

Triple post

It still screws over poor countries because then they can't impose tarrifs that would help make them money and boost their economy, therefore, screwed.

Oh, whoops. What am I thinking of then?

We drove through the McGill campus. It's pretty huge.

BenJammin 10-04-2006 09:49 PM

So I saw this on TB and threw up a little in my mouth.
