I bought it that day as well, though I bought like 80 bucks worth of cds every tuesday back then. Those were the days!
I got it a couple of days after it came out at a video rental store, and they gave me it in a brown paper bag for some reason...

When I worked, I used to get shitloads of cds as well, but now I'm at Uni and poor.

why the hell does jim play that damn fender?
micks sound is much better imo on all their releases

badtaste 07-24-2008 02:22 AM

It's his custom?

Hmm, Slipknot will be touring Australia in October. As much as I don't want to be surrounded by Slipknot fans (or should I say, maggots), I think I'll drag myself to one of their shows.

Pebster49 07-24-2008 03:00 AM

Ya, slipknot fans are elite fellers

rasputin 07-24-2008 04:04 AM

I know a guy who listens to Slipknot, he probably has one of the worst tastes in metal ever.

1338 h4x0r 07-24-2008 04:10 AM

Yeah one of my former coworkers likes Slipknot, Atreyu, CoF and In Flames.

He's a cool guy otherwise so I won't make fun of him for it

rasputin 07-24-2008 04:23 AM

yeah. This friend of mine occasionally takes my advice when I rec him stuff, but for the most part he's an idiot. I've given up telling him he should listen to me, yet he constantly thinks I don't already know everything he will learn about metal in the next 20 years. The other day he came online and said 'WHOA man, did you know that In Flames' early albums are totally different to their new stuff and even better!@!!!'
I told him to gtfo

1338 h4x0r 07-24-2008 04:28 AM

The In Flames acoustic demo is nothing less than outstanding neofolk

It would have been great had they continued in that vein

Yeah most of my friends are a bit behind like that guy. I try to not be all elitist about it, but its hard.

badtaste 07-24-2008 07:08 AM

I don't even have people to discuss music with offline :(

Dimmu Burger 07-24-2008 07:16 AM

I have my bandmates, two of which have really good taste in music. My singer likes oddball 80s groups though.

rasputin 07-24-2008 07:36 AM

Neither, just that one idiot, and his other mate who listens to about one album every 4 years.

beans 07-24-2008 11:04 AM

all my friends love metal, although one of my friends only likes things with breakdowns and two step riffs in them, but he's funny as ****

Dimmu Burger 07-24-2008 11:15 AM

Your friend loves juns.

beans 07-24-2008 11:16 AM

yes he does

Dimmu Burger 07-24-2008 11:17 AM

I love juns.

beans 07-24-2008 11:18 AM

i like them just as much as anyone but not at the expense of the song being good or not

Dimmu Burger 07-24-2008 11:31 AM

Juns make the song. Period.

beans 07-24-2008 11:32 AM

 sometimes

What does everyone here think of Machine Head? They're opening for Slipknot when they tour here. Can't say I've heard much of their music.

beans 08-06-2008 09:41 PM

they're mediocre

McP3000 08-06-2008 10:13 PM

why would you have 3000 posts discussing how much a single band sucks

beans 08-06-2008 10:18 PM

fail
sorry

pow3rtr1p 08-06-2008 11:10 PM

The new single, Psychosocial, is some of the worst music I have ever heard. The guitar riffs are the worst rejected 80s metal thing I've ever heard, the vocals are awful, with a horribly anti-climactic chorus, and the only truly decent thing in that song is the intro.

beans 08-06-2008 11:16 PM

you're awful
