nevertoolate 07-13-2009 08:40 PM

cheers bruva

DBlitz 07-13-2009 09:44 PM

i liked Emergency Numbers more than Interviews with David Frost, haven't heard the rest of their stuff that much though.

I been listenin to Kamelot a lot, so anyone know any similar sounding artists? I already listen to Blind Guardian, Sonata Arctica, Therion etc. but none of them are quite the same as Kamelot.

pate 07-17-2009 08:17 PM

Maybe Conception, just because Khan was their singer.

Deth 07-17-2009 08:50 PM

also don't focus on finding bands that sound identical, you'll never progress musically that way

if want to listen to something just like Kamelot, listen to Kamelot.

stevensonmat2 07-17-2009 09:00 PM

So I've been listening to a lot of stoner and doomy stuff lately (sleep, om, orange goblin, Boris (though amp worship is the only thing I really like) electric wizard, YOB, wino...) and I'm looking for more in this vein that leans toward psychedelia. I recently picked up The Hidden Hand's 'Mother Teacher Destroyer' which is amazing, but I'd like some even spacier stuff.

Also, any other good music in these genres (which I'm just now getting into) would be appreciated.

A History Of Time To Come is my favorite, but Dreamweaver is very close to being as good

Japanese Sabbat is great too.

I need more female fronted crust other than Antischism and Nausea

Jaundice 07-21-2009 04:42 AM

lol female frontal crust

but on a srs note now that I know female-fronted crust bands exist, I think I'll second that.

rasputin 07-21-2009 05:23 AM

the only female fronted crust i can think of is Gallhammer - Ill Innocence. Japanese, pretty sure it's not just fronted, but all female.

Morumbar 07-21-2009 06:39 AM

Can anyone recommend me a band similar to The Morningside?

there looks to be a few good artists like these ones but they seem hit or miss.
