herad a little Mew already, seems nice
never heard mtb yet, but I have already planned to do so

Which one is more calm?
check out some good music like Azure Ray, that's pretty calm

dream theatre is too "ding ding" for me, you knowwwwwww
As Amit said, they're both pretty busy. I like both, but I enjoy MTB more.

both bands are very good.

Apocalyptic Raids 08-11-2007 07:16 AM

I've only heard one Minus The Bear song it was ok. Mew are great though.

eug008 08-11-2007 07:27 AM

Mew are damn amazing. I've listened to them so much in the past few weeks it's insane.

Moses 08-11-2007 07:37 AM
That really isn't as impressive as you might think. I've done it myself. All you have to do is get used to beer in general.
4 gulps? This was a skinny 90 pound girl. Trust me, I'm used to beer and I can chug a whole 40 but not in 4 gulps.

eug008 08-11-2007 07:46 AM
Wasn't it you who uploaded Frengers to the daily upload? It's a good album so far. Mind you, I'm only on track three.
sure was. I've liked everything I've heard from Mew (Frengers and ATGHK) so I'll probably try and download one of their other releases tonight.

Tyr 08-11-2007 07:59 AM
Probably Ender's Game, and I wish I'd gotten around to getting ahold of it sooner.

But then I'm not sure whether my reading Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell was in the last year or not; if it were, it'd be a much tougher decision.

The Man Who Was Thursday was really good, too.
Did you end up reading anymore of the series after Ender's Game? I read the whole series minus Shadow of the Giant this summer and I think Ender's Game wasn't even my favorite so if not I suggest reading the rest of em too.

Hello new thread.

Shattered_Future 08-11-2007 10:16 AM

Never liked Minus The Bear, but Mew is good.

And happy birthday to me. 17 now. :D

Another Emo Kid 08-11-2007 10:17 AM

Happy bday Greg.

I need some Mew who wants to volunteer?

Happy birthday dude :chug:

Another Emo Kid 08-11-2007 10:23 AM

Wish: Is it complete? I d/led Frengers from someone here once before and it was incomplete and I hate incomplet ealbums >:[

If it's complete though I'd love an email/rep/link in some other form :D

Nostalgia 08-11-2007 10:27 AM

Man, not only did I see Nickelback last night, I got to see Puddle of Mud too! Score!

Another Emo Kid 08-11-2007 10:32 AM

I saw Stonesour once and the drummer started playing the beat to Run to the Hills and I got really excited but then it turned out to be the beat to one of their songs instead >:[

Nostalgia 08-11-2007 10:34 AM

Haha, that reminds me. The dude from Nickelback in between songs was like "OKAY, EVERYONE, THIS IS FOR DIMEBAG" And he busts out in the intro riff to Cowboys from Hell.

LifeInABox 08-11-2007 10:38 AM

 I saw a cover they did of Walk once.

MTB's previous albums are totally not my style

if any of you haven't heard planet of ice yet

OMG

Apocalyptic Raids 08-11-2007 11:02 AM

I should really get around to checking POI out. In fact, I might do so tomorrow.

Hahahaha, I feel for you, man. Those are quite possibly the worst bands in the history of existence.

RetiredAt21 08-11-2007 11:22 AM

I can't wait 'till I'm 21.

LifeInABox 08-11-2007 11:24 AM

You're not 21, Retiredat21?

RetiredAt21 08-11-2007 11:24 AM

I'm 20. My username is the name of a Black Flag song.

Apocalyptic Raids 08-11-2007 11:27 AM

I'll be 20 next year.

LifeInABox 08-11-2007 11:28 AM

I'll be 16 next year. But I won't be able to drive

Nope, haven't read them yet. Planning to soon, though, once I have things to buy them with and am running out of books to read.

Deth 08-11-2007 12:05 PM

I've read two of the sequels to Ender's Game and whichever one was from Bean's point of view. All good reads, but not as good as the original.

In other news, I head up to University on Friday.

LifeInABox 08-11-2007 12:23 PM

Yeah, drivers ed is like massivly expensive and you can't drive until you're 18 without taking it, so either way, we get ****ed by the state.

Lunch 08-11-2007 12:23 PM

lol not being able to drive

Eliminator 08-11-2007 12:23 PM

uh thats how it is in every state

Nostalgia 08-11-2007 12:24 PM

Driving's fun for like two weeks and then you hate it.
