[QUOTE=thelowsoundofbass;13451293]That sounds very interesting. Got a link?

I'm uploading it with the other Zorn album with the same lineup, Moonchild. I've promised it to Jesse (progmegood) for a long time now, so it'll be up in a little while.

I guess.

I was just going to post it in here. I really don't expect many people to download it because no one likes that sort of stuff.

I am getting off soon and I will forget to come back and check to see if you have posted it. If not that is cool as well.

What type of bass you thinking of?

Speaking of which I finished cutting out the control cavity today, inhaled all sorts of delightful crap.

I recon I will be part tree by the time I am done with this thing

Oh, okay.

I have a lready posted in that.

I thought you were talking about a thread dedicated to the actual build itself. My mistake.

lemoley 10-16-2006 01:33 PM

ah, no not yet

but i will when i actually start building it

d-basser 10-16-2006 01:34 PM

so folks, xmas only a few months away...no but seriously i am lookin for cash, shud i go for a Peavey Grind 6er (love ma peaveys) for 350quid an upgrade it at some point, change the pre-amp etc. or shud i go for an Ibanez sr506 450 quid an i aint 100% sure i like ibanezs but people rave about them...hmm food for thought

lemoley 10-16-2006 01:36 PM

would you upgrade the ibanez?

What do you prefer in terms of both basses?

Do you like the style of one more than the other?

The necks?

The tone?

The electronics?

d-basser 10-16-2006 01:44 PM

I prefer the peavey because it is a peavey, though i havent played one i have had good experience with other peaveys and from what i have heard from other player it is a good bass for small handed player. it is also cheaper.

the ibanez has been raved about but ibanez's i have played havent blown me away, there is just something about their sound, but this is a better spec one with better pups an pre so may be better. Unfort i am still to find a local shop that stocks either.

i prob wouldnt mod the Ibanez as the only reason i would start on the peavey is the lack of active eq but after a while i could prob afford an U-retro for it.

lemoley 10-16-2006 01:46 PM

well all i can suggest is keep loking for either to play but, if that still fails, go with the peavy :thumb:

d-basser 10-16-2006 01:47 PM

no where in glasgow seems to stock many 6ers at all, they are a rare breed, but thanx for the peavey support, i was unsure because everyone bigs up the 506
