'Get The **** Out' is one of the tracks off the album Slave To The Grind.

Metallifan85 08-29-2005 04:19 PM

Slave To The Grind is one my favorite albums of ALL TIME!

NP: Winger - Poison Angel

(The self titled album is playing on my stereo, not on the computer, but its playing nonetheless)

Jon 08-30-2005 09:02 AM

Die.

Monroe is a fashion god.
'Get The **** Out' is one of the tracks off the album Slave To The Grind.
I knew that :(

s/t > Slave by a long, long way

NP: Guns N' Roses - One In A Million

*burns cross*

Jon 08-30-2005 09:06 AM

I posted in it
Slave To The Grind is one my favorite albums of ALL TIME!
I bought that album a while ago and love it, there are some excellent tracks on there. Have you heard any of there stuff post-bach?

Jon 08-30-2005 09:15 AM

Have you got REvolution by the 'Mob? I can't remember if we've been through this...

NP: Warrant - Cherry Pie (whole album, won't list all the tracks)

Jon 08-30-2005 09:25 AM

I Saw Red is a really good song.

Metallifan85 08-30-2005 09:27 AM
Have you heard any of there stuff post-bach?
Yeah, but its just not the same to me. Bach made the band what they were IMO. I like the newer stuff, just not as much as the old.

Jon 08-30-2005 09:30 AM

Add to this quick Glam Rock playlist I'm doing.

1. David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust
2. Alice Cooper - I'm Eighteen
3. T.Rex - Planet Queen
4. Slade - Cum On Feel The Noize
5. New York Dolls - Personality Crisis
6. Manic Street Preachers - Drug Drug Druggy
7. Hanoi Rocks - Dead By X'Mas
8. KISS - God Gave Rock & Roll To You II

BeaZ 08-30-2005 09:30 AM
Yeah, but its just not the same to me. Bach made the band what they were IMO. I like the newer stuff, just not as much as the old.
They are alot less Glam and alot more Hard Rock which I like. Why was Bach fired?

I agree with you though, they were better in there earlier days.

Metallifan85 08-30-2005 09:33 AM

I have no idea why, if I had to guess I'd say "Creative differences." Have you heard the Subhuman Race album? It rocks real hard, a lot less glammy than the other Bach stuff, which wasn't all that glammy in the first place.

BeaZ 08-30-2005 09:36 AM

Yeah, its great, my current favourite songs off that album are, Firesign, Beat Yourself Blind and Frozen. I absolutely love the chorus to Firesign!

Edit: Have they only made 4 albums? S/T, Slave To The Grind, Subhuman Race and Thickskin, right?

I know they are currently working on a new album which I'm looking forward to.

Metallifan85 08-30-2005 09:47 AM

Well they have Forty Seasons too, its a best of. Theres some remixes and a live version of Beat Yourself Blind on it, and maybe something else too.

Gotta run now, later BeaZ

Jon 08-30-2005 09:51 AM

B-Sides Ourselves

edit: that was an EP

I've seen that CD around at second hand stores actually, I didn't really count it because its a compilation. Anyways, see ya.

Jon 08-30-2005 09:56 AM

They're the only glam rock songs you listed?

.:doc silver:. 08-30-2005 10:42 AM

firehouse

someone have listen to firehouse?

NEVRMORE2 08-30-2005 11:07 AM

would yngwie songs that have singing be considdered hair metal it sounds lie it.

Jon 08-31-2005 12:54 PM

So how's this for some makeup.

Foundation enough to make me look like I have good skin
Normal black eyeliner
Littttle bit of glitter silver eyeliner on top lids
Fairly wide red eyeshadow
Huge eyelashes on one eye, ala Alex in A Clockwork Orange
Two glittery red stars (you know you get those little ones that stick on to your face) a little bit below the corner of the other eye
A little bit of glittery red lipstick

The you know those fishnet/mesh armwarmers you get? Black ones of those, and then the fingerless hand-sized ones in red. Sew them together and tie red and black zebraprint fabric around the seams (in the wrist) with about 20cm of frayed zebraprint dangling from it.

Then a sleeveless DARE shirt and leather jeans or something

Hehe
would yngwie songs that have singing be considdered hair metal it sounds lie it.
I don't think so...

Jon 09-03-2005 06:28 AM

...and Personality Crisis survived a ****ing Teenage Fanclub cover, what's your point?

Anyway all I can say after last night is ROCK AND ROLLLLLLLLLLL. Heh.
http://nothintolose.org/downloads.htm

Listen to Wasted (we were singing that until 10am so...), Cheap N' Nasty, She's Gone Crazy and then the rest in your own time. I don't think those recordings are with the current lineup (infact I think its just the lead guitarist/songwriter with a whole other band, but it gives youhe flavour of what I'd be playing if I can convince them I'm old enough).

I've sorted out a Hanoi jam session with Max (the singer), since the others won't let him cover any Hanoi live or in rehearsals or anything. Heh.

I found myself on a boat in the middle of Kew this morning. That's the other side of London and I had £2.31 to my name :)

Oh man that'd kill. What color are the leather jeans gonna be?

I've actually seen some videos of him performing his singing songs and he has the hair metal thing going. Even the dance moves lol.

Jon 09-03-2005 11:33 AM

Well black, considering I have black leathers and all...

Last night I wore my flameprint pyjama-style trousers to a club, twas jokes.

blue3 09-03-2005 10:21 PM

I got a Motley Crue shirt a few days ago. I wish I saw them live :(

adioviva 09-03-2005 10:29 PM

i am a huge fan of motley crue. theyre brand of mindless hedonistic metal about drinking and seeing **** just gives me a massive erection. especially when im blowing lines off of the whatever stripper im bangin :naughty: at the times arse, and eating a huge wad of raw beef, because thats how manly i am.

i love whitesnake's unforgetable metal/power ballad experience as well. :smash:
although i do love them, theyre hit songs are sort of lost on me right now,ill just turn on vh1 and see if the hairmetal count down is on for the 100th time today

im really not being sarcastic, im just a jackass

remember :smoke: :chug: cool kids smoke doobies and drink beers before driving

RockThe40oz! 09-03-2005 10:29 PM

practically all of these are hair rock/metal bands!

RockThe40oz! 09-03-2005 10:30 PM

anyways...the New York Dolls were great...

blue3 09-03-2005 10:41 PM

It's a Dr. Feelgood shirt.

blue3 09-03-2005 10:55 PM

Yeah, that one. My friend has a Girls, Girls, Girls shirt.. and she's a girl and some stupid people now think that she's a lesbian.

..What size did you get? The small size is still huge on me.. so all my band shirts are too big.

adioviva 09-03-2005 11:04 PM

blowing lines off strippers asses is sweet

...like right now! *blows line off of strippers ****

blue3 09-03-2005 11:12 PM
I got a large, because it was cheap, but although it looks OK it feels baggy. I usually wear mediums and if I'm feeling glam, I'm get a small.
Okay. I have a large Slash shirt and it's so big it looks like a dress. I need to gain weight.

Anyways.. I'm listening to Can't Stand The Heartache by Skid Row.

Metallifan85 09-03-2005 11:21 PM

I feel weird about wearing big faces on my chest

(and crotches for that matter, which is why I will never be seen in that Motley Crue shirt)

NP: Racer X - Heart of a Lion

blue3 09-03-2005 11:29 PM

:( I like that Slash shirt more. I have this one ..

superflyjojo 09-03-2005 11:47 PM

My favorite hair bands.
1. Motley Crue (you gotta love the crue)
2. Twisted Sister (wouldn't really say that they were in that genre, they sound more like hard rock to me but oh well)
3. Skid Row (hair metal with an edge, except for I remember you which is still an awesome song)
4. The Scorpions (if Twisted Sister counts then I think the scorpions should count.)
5. Def Leppard (I like photograph)

I hate all other hair bands with a passion.

blue3 09-03-2005 11:47 PM

Anyone seen the movie Detroit Rock City? One of the people had Gene Simmons picture on their crotch and at the back it said Kiss this.

So.. Is Norther's cover any good?

White Lion are great, I'm listening to Pride right now.

Jon 09-04-2005 12:40 PM

What's the song....

Change...nothin' stays the same
something something

Its very anthemic. Google told me it was Unchained, amirite?

Glitterati 09-04-2005 12:53 PM
anyways...the New York Dolls were great...
Their S/T album is great. Cool mix of glam, punk, and hard rock.

np: Bon Jovi - You Give Love A Bad Name
