Nice job rewriting what I wrote there.

To [b]metallogy[/b], I think the solo in The Thing That Should Not Be is actually one of the better solos. Like someone mentioned before, it is very atonal and quite different from the usual scalic runs that master Hammett does.

As for my worst solo, probably the outro to God[SIZE=2]****[/SIZE] Electric. There are some really cool effects in it, but Mr. King just milks too much of the same thing here. Best solo ever: [b]Burzum - War[/b]

Dont Forget Me solo by RHCP. I had to make some major changes to it when I played it at the talent show.

I will agree that an overwhelming majority of his solos are messy, but I will not take it that some of Yngwie Malmsteem's finer shred pieces are also a mess. "Far Beyond the Sun", "Playing with Fire" and "The Seventh Sign", in my opinion, are among the greatest solos of all time as far as both shredding and melody is concerned.

eeeeeeeeeh...... no. some people are really stupid. "Any malmsteen solo", "otherside... I mean its so simple", "that five noted solo I heard 6 month ago...". You really have understand the different of

1. a simple (or easy to play) solo.
2. a short solo.
3. a "not so great" solo.
4. A solo that’s built up by "regular" scales.
5. a solo to a bad song.

And the worlds worst. I mean the world’s worst should be a solo that makes you puke or pisses you of when you even think about it. A five noted solo could might as well just been a riff to give effect to the song. So when Hendrix suddenly just makes one bend and then continues with the song’s riff that’s bad? Even if it sounds good?
And do you really think Malmsteen plays the absolute WORST solos there is? I admit he’s not for everybody to like, and is not even close to be the best, but is certainly not the worst.
