Little Man being Erased 06-30-2004 12:46 AM

I recently picked up The Beatles White Album and the second disc is fast becoming one of my favorite Beatles records. Go get it.

Lately I've been having my world rocked by the Replacements, Mission of Burma, Husker Du, and REM.

NakedRaygun872 06-30-2004 09:35 AM

Charles Bronson, Muse and Interpol.
Werd up.

Wanker 06-30-2004 09:45 AM

I recently got Slint's Spiderland (i'm only 13 years late. what?) and i now realize how so much of todays post-rock scene has evolved from it. I've also been getting into GY!BE and Explosions in the Sky. I have GY!BE's first 3 albums and EitS's last two. I cant seem to find their first one. But anyway, all good stuff. :thumb:

Very time consuming though

Tangy zizzle 06-30-2004 11:06 PM

The Icarus Line are very cool, gettin' into them.

Mclusky are the band that are interesting me the most at the mo'. They have the coolest song/album titles and have such funny lyrics, but they aren't a joke. A very very cool band.

Little Man being Erased 07-03-2004 06:47 AM

I just got Desaparecidos - Read Music/Speak Spanish the other day and I am loving it. But I suppose you could say that I am a little biased because I'm such a big fan of Bright Eyes. Regardless, it is a great album.

The Ashtray Girl 07-03-2004 03:20 PM

Just got both Streets albums - absolutely incredible, Mike Skinner is a genius at being so painfully truthful. I haven't been this excited about listening to something since I first got hold of OK Computer, I don't think.

Tangy zizzle 07-04-2004 04:57 AM

I've been listening to a band called Hot Snakes. Very very cool, they have the lead singer from Drive Like Jehu.

YES!!! "A Grand Don't Come For Free" is an incredible album.

Oh ok, sorry. That's cool though. I'm from the Gold Coast if I haven't told you.

Anyway, I've been checking out some bands I haven't heard before. So far I've checked out QOTSA, Tomahawk and Kyuss. All great bands. I'm also listening to the Fantomas' first album. It's pretty good, but nothing on Delirium Cordia.

Zappa 07-04-2004 05:58 PM
I'm also listening to the Fantomas' first album. It's pretty good, but nothing on Delirium Cordia.
It's about 100x better.

Luxor 07-04-2004 06:21 PM

They have a song on www.epitonic.com from !!!'s new album Louden Up Now. It's sick, I'm going to have to buy this album.

Tangy zizzle 07-04-2004 06:38 PM

The Stooges - No Fun has been declared Tangy Zizzle's Official Album of The Week

br3ad_man 07-04-2004 07:30 PM
It's about 100x better.
I disagree, but I can understand why you'd think that.

iveseenthedark 07-05-2004 07:10 AM

What I recommend that everyone have a listen to is the Hope Of The States album Lost Riots....this is an amazing debut and well worth try to get holed of...especially the special edition version......also got the new The Killers album Hot Fuss.....quite good first couple of tracks worth a listen.......

also althought i have not got it yet...the new album by The Jeevas....only just heared of them but they have Crispen Mills of Kula Shaker fame fronting so it might be a bit of an old skool vibe this week.....

also been play in explosions in the sky for a bit of chilled....and Waxwing and further seems forever for the old emo dosage....

looking at the list tho, i think i might be getting a bit soft so might have to put on some of the old throwdown, beecher etc next week to bring up my hardcore status

OrbDragon 07-05-2004 07:58 AM
