yea they will release an official DVD...but not anytime soon

FrailandBedazzled1979 12-30-2003 02:08 PM
Yes, he fades into the back of the music a lot. Most of the time he throws his guitar about rather than playing it. But his solo on HBTN when live is always amazing. He is MUCH faster than Adrian. Watch his fingers move on RiR, he really is amazing!
in terms of picking i will say hes faster, but in scaling no way. listen to Adrian on "the chosen one". :thumb:

RockerGav 12-31-2003 11:23 AM

Yeah, because I suppose everyone uses dollars and lives near a Best Buy?
The Fallen Angel?
yeah, lol. i ALWAYS mess that one up.

FrailandBedazzled1979 01-01-2004 08:11 PM

once again.........who plays the solo on "drifter" from the killers album?

zeppelin_rules_62 01-03-2004 06:48 AM

Probably Davey. Sounds like him

FrailandBedazzled1979 01-04-2004 03:50 PM

I dunno, it dosent sound like either Davey or Adrian...though it does sound like its played on a neck pickup, which Davey is real big on...so you could be right, the live version on the boxed set is phenominal...i have such a huge respect for that song now. i wasnt as into it before.
Yeah, because I suppose everyone uses dollars and lives near a Best Buy?
YOU CHANGED YOUR AVATAR. YOU WHORE! :p

"wrathchild" is a great song to listen to, one of my favourite tracks, along with "the wicker man" and "iron maiden".

i think it's dave performing the solo on "drifters".

YDload 01-04-2004 06:29 PM

I just got "Number of the Beast" for Christmas, so I'm new to this thread. I don't have any particular questions, because I'm sure they're already been answered, but I just have to say that "Hallowed Be Thy Name" is the best song on the album. Would it also probably be the best of all Maiden songs?

RockerGav 01-05-2004 09:58 AM

Perhaps.

Certainly top 10.

Metallicat 01-05-2004 11:03 AM

my fav. song by Maiden: The Trooper. I like how both of the guitarists play cool solos in it.

RockerGav 01-05-2004 11:08 AM

Erm, most Iron Maiden songs feature AT LEAST 2 cool solos.

esco6 01-05-2004 11:26 AM

Out Of The Silent Planet!!!

Hmmmm I think I'm the only one that likes the drumming on that song, the rest of my mates think the drumming goes over the song to much.

FrailandBedazzled1979 01-06-2004 04:57 AM

the galloping chorus could get old to some people, but i enjoy how Nicko plays it as well. Ill take a look into that one and see how it goes, i usually just look for anything that is fun to jam around with, ill mention it tomorrow.

RockerGav 01-06-2004 01:19 PM

Out of the silent planet is an amazing song.

One of Maiden's best IMO.

Metallicat 01-06-2004 02:00 PM
Erm, most Iron Maiden songs feature AT LEAST 2 cool solos.
that's still my fav. maiden song though :p

YDload 01-06-2004 06:24 PM

Here's what I'm thinking: in the "Number of the Beast" video, Dave plays the first solo and Adrian goes next. Is that the way most of the two-solo songs go? Because I'll bet Dave goes first almost all the time, just to be consistent.
