I got it thanks to ShadowsFallen.
Ugh, math I hate it I'm really sorry that I switched out of my other class but I know it looks good on the application for collage. I'm now about a month behind the rest of the class with a test in 1 week. I had a 96% in my other class too. :(
I'm happy to help. The lag here is becoming ridiculous. Mx has to be figuring out a way to remedy this soon. |
Is it just me, or is the lag on this site becoming incredible?
Lag as in takes ages to load a page or lag as in not much happening in MX ? NP Iced Earth - Burnt Offerings EDIT: Nevermind... |
Yes, that's the advantage to it. See if I had read the rules before my first thread people wouldn't have hated me for it :thumb:

It's not lagging for me anymore. I was doing it really bad over the last few days. I say we ban the people that have been on here for 3 years, yet they have like 14 posts.

It's been done. Or, similar things have, at least.
What the hell is up with this server? It's all a bit wierd.
It can't handle the number of people online (with the many thousands browsing Sputnik). |

Pretty sure that wouldn't do anything. But I remember when I first joined it was like this alot too. Yay, old account is back. |

Banning wouldn't solve anything, their accounts would still remain on the site. Deleting however...
Lag as in takes ages to load a page or lag as in not much happening in MX ?
Ages to load a page. It took me 15 minutes to edit a post. |

I had no idea sputnik got so much traffic. We should make a banner inviting more to visit the metal section. :( |

Yeah thats what I meant. Wouldn't upgrading the server also help? |
Ages to load a page. It took me 15 minutes to edit a post.
Fortunatly, MX is going well for me now..But Its been realy slow for a few days now. I cant be doing anything else on the computer or else it sometimes gets so slow its not even funny.. |
Yeah thats what I meant. Wouldn't upgrading the server also help?
Yeah, but Jeremy just upgraded the server recently, and remember, this site costs HIM money, he has no benefit from running this thing. |
Now it is lagging a bit, but I am uploading a bunch of albums for power metal and melodic death mailing lists...
Yeah, but Jeremy just upgraded the server recently, and remember, this site costs HIM money, he has no benefit from running this thing.
Oh, yeah. But we are using V.2 or something, and there is a V3.5 already. |

The lag was pretty bad for me, but its better now.
How much money does it cost Jeremy to keep MX going? |

People, please. I'm trying to write my history paper now and this site is a distraction like no other.
I think the best thing for me to do now is simply leave. So, until next time mx. |
How much money does it cost Jeremy to keep MX going?
It's gotten better for me, too. Quite a bit, if he had to put on ads just to keep the site going. |

Here it is. Post in the Iced Earth thread while your at it :p
Ok. I don't know, since everything is slow now because of the uploads. I will try though. |
I think Jeremy saves quite a bit with the ads and such, but it still must cost him quite a bit of money...
|
i think I may need to add some more stuff to my X-mas list...Like a couple of Opeth albums:p
/last Opeth Whore of the night I need to get to bed Auf Weidersehn  |

Thats true. He doesn't make any money off of the adds though? Lord Abortion: Get Blackwater Park. Its my favorite Opeth cd. |
I'm going to go eat, be back in like 20 minutes.
Victor, that album has awesome artwork. |
Ollie, you've never honestly listened to Opeth until today???
the shock. |
I remember this summer when me and my dad went on a giant-arse hike this summer(16 mile round tripper) and our destination was Dewey Lake. Its this desolate lake up in the Cascades. Once we reached the lake, the first thing that came into my mind was "Opeth album cover." It was one of the most breathtaking scenes ever. Nothing but rippling water, surrounded by evergreen trees, the environment cloaked in fog.
The whole concept baffled me, too. It was a lake. In a basin. On the tops of moutains. Just the idea of water being landlocked so far above sea level was somewhat perplexing. :p |
Wow Jake. I wish I could have been there.
I don't think Jom likes me anymore :upset: |

It used to be a tradition kind of, during each Fall Break (when we went up to the mountains). Our trip was only a few miles though, just lots of vertical. Very picturesque. And the bluest water I've ever seen. In other news, I like the soundtrack to Rent way more than I should. |
I heard Rent was very good, I'll have to see it I'm sure I'd like it. (Sadly)
And surprisingly the new Madonna CD is very good. Yes, Madonna. I love going on hikes afterwards you just feel so, like "alive"... If you know what I mean. I try to go 5 times a year or so but last time I went on a hike we found a big steamy pill of Grizzly Bear poo about 5 mins into the hike. Scared me alot. |
I've been there \m/
Really? Was this when you were visiting your old neighbors, or what were you doing out here? That's pretty awesome, heh. Me and my dad saw lots of wierd brown frogs when we were there, it was also another cool part of our trip. |
