Dont know if anyone actualy gets around to posting reviews of stuff on here, but I would really like to see a review of a fender bassman 300 pro / sunn 300t. They're the same amp made by the "same" company just different eras of production.

thx in advance -CC-

yea i own this. its pretty wicked cool it is hella useful for when me and my drummer just jam in an unorganized way. umm the effects are cool.. maybe only 5 or 6 effects are nice but for the best ones u gotta tweek it and really kinda know how to mess with its settings to get the best out of it. but its fun and i highly reccomend it
or any cort curbow for that matter. :-/
This bass is one that striked me as crazy looking from the first time i saw it. I dont own it but i am a regular "customer" at my local guitar shops. i have played this bass for maybe an hour. it is one of the most akward things i have hever held and played in my life. the body is just very uncomfertable for me when i sit down and play. when i stand its not a problem but i tend to sit alot so i find it very uncomfertable

I have one, and I find it more comfortable if you put it on your left knee instead of your right (well, i suppose reverse that for you since you are a lefty). Also, I play with a strap while sitting, so that could help some.

A note about any bart-equipped curbow: they have very low output. I had to run in my passive input and still crank the gain. Unless you flip the slap switch, then your tone dies but the output boosts. I havent had a chance to plug in my friend's Mightymite equipped curbow yet.

I'm considering buying this amp and I just wanna know if its worth it!

Pillsbury 04-13-2006 10:18 PM

Review please!

I'm considering buying either a Fender Dimension IV bass if I can afford it, or a Dean edge 4 (which I know I can afford). I also am thinking about getting a "Behringer Ultrabass BA410 1000 Watt Bass Guitar Speaker with 4 10 inch Speakers & horn" with a BX4500H Bass Head.

Any thoughts?

muthafunkabass #2 04-14-2006 04:54 AM

Dean Edge 4: Bad Quality, look to save more money for soemthing better.

Behringers: Not Reliable, don't be suprisedd when they stop working. If that's your price range, consider getting GK Backline stuff.

I know this is going to sound really dumb, being my first post and what I'm about to post about. Just bear with me.

Some of you may know about Dir en grey, a Japanese band that recently had their first US "Tour" (only 3 places but its a start) and are set to tour with Stone Sour, Korn and others this summer.

Their bass player, Toshiya, has been of the biggest influences on me. When I first heard Ryan Martiene of Mudvayne play, I loved the sound and was very into the music. Though, it wasn't until Toshiya that decided playing the bass was what I really wanted to do. I not only loved the way he played, the often times complex bass lines and his stage presence but also more the sound of his bass.

The problem is I have no idea what kind it is or where to find it. Now, this is where I may look dumb -- Here's a picture.

It's decribed and all but I kid you not, I have not been able to find this bass anywhere. I'm very good with computers so it's driving me crazy that I can't find it. The only clue I sort of have is that it is a brand called "Killer", though the picture says ESP.

If anyone knows anything...please let me know!

P.S. If you can get past the language barrier, you'll love Dir en grey (they've been around for 10 years, huge in Japan and are no longer "Visual Kei"). Here's a few youtube clips to really show off Toshiya's skill.
