Yeah the co-guitarist in my band was talking about that. Thats good though that they are saving the trees. SOAD is a band that would do that too. I could also see Audioslave doing that.

I hope you are right. although i love Mezmerize, i would like to see more heavy stuff, and i miss that Serj growl as in previous albums.

It's my favorite song by far off of Mezmerize. I really like the intro.

Is it just me, or does Cocaine sound like it belongs on the Self Titled album? :p It has that same raw feel that all the songs on the S/T have. It's an awesome track.

i love "Question!" also, and yea "This Cocaine..." sounds the most like old SOAD to me, one of my favorites off the album.

Yea, best songs off of mezmerize would have to be radio/video, sad statue, or lost in hollywood. Did anyone hear those 2 songs off hypnotize, kill rock n roll and holy mountain? If so, did those songs seem to be heavier than stuff on mezmerize or same?

I have high expectations for hypnotize from them and the let down of mezermize yeah some songs were good but they were trying to hard to be wacky at bits it annoyed me and kill rock n roll and holy mountain were really really good so im thinking it might be heavier.

kill rock and roll sounded heavy to me, i only heard the live version from BDO though. Holy Mountain sounds like Arials to me, its not that heavy but its a great song. In an interview i read today, Serj said one of the songs(Vacinity i think) has a really good guitar solo that he says is Darons best guitar work ever. sounds like a good album.

I've heard Kill Rock n Roll and Holy Mountain and they both sound really good, I cant wait for a studio version to be released :thumb:

I remember when i first got toxicity, that;s all i listened to, i wore out the cd after listening to it every day for like 2 months.

To me I think that there weirdness is a major part of there charm and is why they are so good

Off of the new Cd i'd have to go with Violent Pornogrophy.... and right now i couldn't tell you why because I don't remember...

Their new album isn't as good as the rest, they've went from pwning, to just owning.

Their new single is horrible IMO.

I reckon the new SOAD album rocks and at the moment im really gettin into the songs Cigaro and B.Y.O.B

When cigaro came out I was like damm that's good, but when the album was released, cigaro is like one of the worst songs on that album.

NO, there is FOUR threads about SOAD on the first page! Someone needs to cut down on them and just keep to this one! I like them and all, but geez, overexposure for the new album. Everyone I know thinks they're hardC0RE because they know all the songs off of Toxicity, but NONE of them even know the song Suite-Pee! I hope no one I know owns Mesmerize, I only want to keep Violent Pornography in my circle of friends and not let it be ruined like the genuis of BYOB has by fangirls and boys at my school. They seriously take all the fun out of listening to SOAD.
