mostly does the duck walk on stage
Can anyone tell me why its called the duck walk? It looks nothin like a duck. |
A duck doesn't bend at the knees really... it waddles. So that's what Angus does, but in a dancy sort of way. Chuck Berry (sp?) invented it, I know that.
Chuck Berry didn't invent it, chuck berry is most of angus's inspiration but he didnt invent the duck walk. I heard that angus made it up after he tripped on the cable connecting his guitar to the amp and he kinda made it up on the spot. Not sure how accurate that is but thats wat ive heard.

Now this is a bloke who knows his rock n roll :thumb: . Bon Scott's voice especially live is so strong and electric, his stage presence so alive and charismatic, he will forever be a legend. |
Ac/Dc are great and yes they may not be the best band in the world musically, they have a truly unique sound. Any rock fan can recognise an Ac/Dc song, even if they haven't heard it before, and that is partly what makes them great. As for the vocalists, well what can I say? Brilliant. Bon Scott's voice was outstanding and Brain Johnson's is pretty good too, perhaps not quite as a full as Bon's.

http://www.kolumbus.fi/nononsense/dave2.htm Unfortunately, it's Dave Evans :upset:. But it's proving you wrong, so here you go. Go to the bottom of the page, on the last paragraph. Edit: http://home.swipnet.se/Spralle/ACDC/tourrev3108.htm <-there's another one. Fourth paragraph down. |
Sorry bout that. I kinda geussed the site I heard that from wasn't real accurate. (It was always mentioning Peter Clark instead of Peter Clack) btw Peter clack is one of the original drummers and my friends uncle.

Is it possible to get the let there be rock video on DVD?
dont think it is yet but im not bothered i have it on video just never watch it incase it gets ruined
Yeah it gettin ruined is what im worried about. Thats why I want it on DVD.
AC/DC is my favorite band because they play simple catchy music. I also like the fact they don't like metal or punk rock music but that's besides the point. I like the simple music and dirty lyrics i.e. Hard As A Rock and Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (my 2 favorites).
yeah they dont like metal yet 2001 stiff upper lip brought megadeth on tour with them they do like metal they just prefer rock over metal punk they hate my dad will even tell u cos back in 79 during highway to hell tour punks were spitting on the stage mainly on angus he ended up he stopped during the middle of the song took bons mic and told the punks if they didnt stop spitting on stage he would personally get down and beat the **** outta them
^^^ I'm lost.

^^^ I'm lost.
On a video the quality will degrade over time whereas a DVD doesnt. |
cool i hhave heard of angus puttin a beatin on some body
I heard that AC/DC once supported Black Sabbath on a tour but were kicked off cause Malcolm beat the crap outta the bass player. |
i dont know about that ill find out
u guys can think what u want, i have 21 of the 25 ac/dc cds and im not board with them, yeah sure i preferr some over others. I like it because all the cds have a different style to them. Like powerage is a laid back rock n roll feel, and let there be rock is up in ur face sweet *** riffs and solos theres just no stopping them, and theres no stopping there new album, "strap it on" too!
