I think, and I'm not too sure, but, I think that the main difference is that powerviolence is [i]noisier[/i] and grind is [i]heavier[/i]. If [i]that[/i] makes sense.

Still, most people refer to powerviolence as grind. Except for when they're describing a said band.

I haven't listened to any Carcass in awhile, so I'm not all that sure, but if I remember right, yes, [i]Heartwork[/i] was their death metal album.

Heartwork was some quality music. Alot of my friends disagree though, and dismiss death metal as mindless music for idiots.

nah, some is kinda [SIZE=2]s[/SIZE]hitty, though there are alot fo great detah metal bands. my fav being AMON AMARTH! masters of viking death metal. :thumb:

Heartwork is good Death Metal. I think they hit the peak of Death Metal perfection with Necroticism: Descanting the Insalubrious, though.

haha, yea, Six Feet Under had some decent tunes, but they're nothing special. the entire brutal death metal scene makes me laugh, mostly cause of the people involved in it, but talk of corpse [SIZE=2]f[/SIZE]ucking is pretty funny too. :naughty:
