Aramid is a solo project from the greater Seattle area by multi-instrumentalist Bryan Bulmer. Inspired by an eclectic range of artists such as Oceansize,
Hammock, Thrice and Olafur Arnalds, Aramid writes mostly instrumental music consisting of densely-layered guitars, strings, and synths evolving over
long buildups and sudden shifts in dynamics. Aramid self-describes his sound as "music for vast canyons and rainy mountains," and can be categorized
roughly under post-rock, indie, space-rock, and progressive.
