Training for Utopia

Training for Utopia (TFU) was a metalcore bandwhich existed from 1996–2000. The band firstsigned with Tooth & Nail Records and waslatermoved to Solid State Records, the Tooth &Nail imprint that promotes heavy Christian music.Training for Utopia subsequently becamepopularin the Christian metal scene during itsactive years, although its music was not specificallyreligious. Immediately following the tourCarlos leftthe band to pursue other aspirations. After atemporary hiatus the band returned with theirsecond full length "Throwing a Wrenchinto theAmerican Music Machine". After a small tour of thematerial the band disbanded. At the demise of Training for Utopia, membersRyan and Don Clark announced that they werestarting a new project called TheAmericanSpectator which never was realized. Donand Ryan Clark started "Asterik Studio" in Seattle, agraphic design shop where they completedmanyprojects, including album artwork for formerlabel-mates. In 2000, they founded the Christianmetal band Demon Hunter. « hide
