Tame Impala is an Australian psychedelic rock band spearheaded by primary songwriter Kevin Parker. After recording dozens of demo songs at his home in Perth, Parker released the self titled EP in 2008 to critical acclaim. The live manifestation of Tame Impala was originally a three-piece with Jay Watson and Dominic Simper accompanying Parker, but Nick Allbrook later rounded out the line up. Debut album Innerspeaker was an international success and the band cracked America and the UK. Since then, they have continued to garner widespread global acclaim from critics and listeners alike. Tame Impala previously released music on Australian-label Modular Recordings, but has since signed to Interscope (US) and Fiction Records (UK).
