Günter Schickert (born 25 April 1949 in Berlin) is a German musician and composer considered by some to be one of the most innovative experimental guitarists of the krautrock scene of the 70s. As well as releasing solo material, in 1976 he formed the group GAM (named after the initials of its members - Günter Schickert, Axel Struck, Michael Leske). Schickert has also recorded collaborations with other artists, such as Klaus Schulze in 1975 and more recently Pharoah Chromium in 2014.
