Lighter Fluid is a grunge/sludge metal band initially formed in early 2013, going through numerous name and line-up changes until 2014, when
the band was officially entitled Skin Effect and consisted of a line-up including Todd Cooper, Jared Constable, Brittney Louise John and Kurt
Davis.
During that period, the band recorded many rough demos including a single entitled 'December's Tragic Drive' which was featured on the
GrungeForum 400 compilation album, however, due to unforeseen circumstances the band underwent a short hiatus throughout the rest of the

During that period, the band recorded many rough demos including a single entitled 'December's Tragic Drive' which was featured on the
GrungeForum 400 compilation album, however, due to unforeseen circumstances the band underwent a short hiatus throughout the rest of the
year, resulting in a temporary dissolution of the band. This culminated in the limited release of the 'Skin Effect: The Home Recordings'
compilation in late 2015.
After almost a year, Todd and Jared regrouped and reformed under a new moniker with new drummer Braiden Wylie and immediately began
work on a debut EP entitled 'Nihilist Apathy'. « hide |
