Electric Masada are one of John Zorn's most adventorous bands, or as the liner-notes for the first of the two live albums says: "A true downtown supergroup, blending the raw power of Naked City with the improvisational madness of Cobra and the lyrical soul of the Masada songbook, Electric Masada is considered by many to be the most exciting band Zorn has ever had."
the all-star group consists of some of the biggest names associated with John Zorn's Tzadik label: Cyro Baptista (percussion), Joey Baron (drums), Trevor Dunn (bass), Ikue Mori (electronics), Marc Ribot (guitar), Jamie Saft (keyboards), Kenny Wollesen (drums) and John Zorn himself (alto sax)
