Loudness

Loudness is a heavy metal band that formed in 1980 in the city of Osaka, Japan. Their sound could be consider that in the same style of Iron Maidenor Judas Priest during their prime time in the 80's. Loudness is a heavy metal band that formed in 1980 in the city of Osaka, Japan. Their sound could be consider that in the same style of Iron Maidenor Judas Priest during their prime time in the 80's. The only thing that separated them from other heavy metal bands during that time was the shredmaster Akira Takasaki's technical-signature playing style.Unfortunately, after many line up changes, and the resurrection of grunge forced Loudness as a band to change styles to compete with emergingscenes. On their self-titled album we see that change with heavier distorted guitars, and faster paced drumming, and harsher vocals. Only to see theircareer take on influences from the Nu-metal scene. With a shoddy career in the 90s and 00s, only until 2010's King of Pain showed the bandincorporating their classic heavy metal style back into their sound. Even then it's still not enough of a return to their glory days, because their soundstill has grunge and Nu-metal tendencies.Basically, check out their stuff from their debut to about Soldier of Fortune if you want classic heavy metal. If you want grunge/ heavy metalstuff, check out 1992 to 2007, and for heavy metal in a modern way, from 2008 to nowdays. « hide
