Miley Ray Cyrus (born Destiny Hope Cyrus in 1992) is a teenaged singer and actress better known by her stage nameHannahMontanafrom thetelevision series Hannah Montana. In addition to songs recorded under the Hannah Montanamoniker,Cyrus released 2008's Breakoutunder her own name.
Cyrus is the daughter of country/pop singer Billy Ray Cyrus.
She has often been compared to artists such as Demi lovato and Selena Gomez for their share of the Disney lime light but isconsiderablydifferent in style. She has moved from being a pure pop singer to a country/pop hybrid singer and is arguably morefamous for her earliercontroversies in her life than for her later musicianship.
