Review Summary: Murky Black/Death metal for the elite.....

Wrathprayer are a band hailing from chile, this is their debut, upon listening prepare for an unrelenting Black/Death Metal assault, Wrathprayer suffocates its listeners in a scourge of unholy Black/Death.

Everything here is what you could expect from a band of this kind, echoeing vocals in the vein of Blasphemy, Pseudogod ect, back up with Black Metal styled drumming and riffing. The guitar tone is murky and harsh, yet theres some good tremelo picking and subtle melody throughout.

The atmosphere on here is thick, similar to that found on a band such as Grave Miasma unfortunately it does result in a somewhat dull sound in certain parts, but the guitar work and drumming keep things interesting.

This is a fantastic Black/Death metal release, and certainly one of the best of its kind.

Recommened to fans of Antediluvian, Mitochondrion, Dead Congregation, Grave Miasma, Blasphemy, Archgoat ect...
