"Corporation P.O.P" scores the same as Hot Milk's previous album "A Call to the Void". Yet "A Call to the Void" is the better album, it contained one utterly dud of a track that it killed the vibe of the rest of the album. "Corporation P.O.P" has no dud tracks, but there's easily a bunch within the mix that are forgettable. Songs like the opener '(How Do I) Make the Devil Fall Asleep', 'Swallow This', and even the 30 Seconds to Mars-ripoff song 'Chase the Dragon' all feel like the band staying consistent to please their growing fanbase. Where the album starts to feel innovative is within songs like 'Sunburn From Your Bible' and 'Warehouse Salvation' that play more with genres and even introduce some notable heavier moments that the band should delve into further on a future record. There's 2 interludes on this thing as well, which theoretically should be annoying, yet given the 14 songs and the over 45-minute runtime, is more welcomed versus a hinderance.

Hot Milk are bringing the british alt rock fire back on Corporation P.O.P. There's something about the unadulterated angst that the brits can bring to the table which is simply infectious. The tracks bring all of that together along with a very contemporary approach to their production and melodic writing. It's very much in the vein of a lot of modern pop punk, and it sounds absolutely amazing. Vocalist Han Mee slices through with ease to deliver something truly exquisite. Male vocalist Jim Shaw certainly holds his own, too. There are definitely moments where his vocals will shine as bright as Mee's and really compliment her performance well.
