Jaja Gha'is Robinson's debut album under his new moniker, previously Jaja00 and it might go down as the best rap album this year. The lyricism from track to track could be as tight as a Kendrick Lamar track, but it is housed in more of a philosophical bases like a Milo (or Rap Ferraria) but has the heavy sampling you could see in a JPEGMAFIA album, without all the glitches and switches. Honestly, that is the best part of the album the pure amount of incredible sampling over explosive east coast hip hop drums. You really can?t go wrong with this album and it?s tough to find a flaw here, but the middle part of the album is a small tick down from the start and closer to the project.

Crazyass beats based on heavy sampling a la Kanye or your fav vaporboi, pristine production, and competent delivery (think of early Childish Gambino for comparison) are basically all I need in hip hop, and There Will Be No Super-Slave is all of that. If he could tune down some of these chipmunk samples that'd be even better.

Coming from a man who loves interludes there are too many interludes and random spots. Production clashes a lot of times making the songs message and composition watered down. However, production got better and his work overall more ambitious from previous efforts. This dude has a ton of potential and I can see a few great projects coming. Just stop comparing him to JPEGMAFIA for the love of God.

Think the beats are a bit lackluster compared to the first although a bit more polished and with some crazy samples still. Rapping is still on point though, and probably one of my favorite dudes out there with funny as fuck and based punchlines/references.
