0.0 | Slex | January 4th 20 | Calling to mind the likes of early 10's emo touchstones Whenever, If Ever and Summer Death, Short Fictions have crafted an intimately communal album full of moments-a warm little bass run here, tactile wafts of jammy uplift there- all in service of building to a fucking wonderfully earned catharsis in the final track. The more conventionally noodly parts seem to be wrangling the band back into atmosphere, but they achieve liftoff regardless, with nowhere but up to go from here.

3.5 great | cowbeef | August 6th 20 | An emo/alt-rock album with themes global warming and coming of age sounds like something to induce eye rolling, but this was pretty damn good.

4.5 superb | joseph | June 10th 20 | okay I'm biased cause these guys are an incredible Pittsburgh band, and I went to school w/ their drummer Ryan for a hot minute, and he is legitimately one of the funniest and most talented dudes I've ever met. Would recommend this to literally anyone
