Although the album doesn't fully meet the premise of its somewhat pretentious title, it's still a solid power metal release that should moderately please fans of the genre.

Thornbridge's power metal owes a lot to Blind Guardian, Running Wild and Europower metal in general. Even though band more than knows its craft, little novelty lies in Theatrical Masterpiece to be found and cherished, whether it's the arrangements, the vocals or the sound production. Still, some die-hard Europower metal fans may have a blast listening to this.
