2.8 good | manosg EMERITUS | May 27th 18 | Unfortunately, Lords of Black have not made a real progress compared to their previous effort and sadly their songwriting chops are far less than their unquestionable individual talent. Ronnie Romero is one of the better heavy metal vocalists at the moment (even though he goes overboard with his Dio-esque gruff) and guitarist Tony Hernando delivers some great solos, but the songs aren't memorable, the production is "plastic" and - once again - the album is far too long for its own good. I really had high expectations by these guys but their brand of heavy/power metal just doesn't feel special to me.
