3.0 good | Brett W | June 8th 18 | They haven't truly captured Chuck's style. They are using lyrics that purely call
religion dumb, but Chuck was never strictly anti religion or Christianity. They seem to
also have only taken a few aspects of what made Death's early stuff sound the way it did,
and repeated it. It's like Death but watered down a LOT. The solos are one of the best
parts of the album. I will admit that they do a good job emulating on the surface level,
but it doesn't have much substantial content to hold its own. The best track is the title
track, and also A Waste of Life. There's a riff after the solo in Waste that sounds
lifted straight out of Symbolic, its spectacular. Wish I liked this album more. I really
do.

3.5 great | Fernando Alves STAFF | June 2nd 18 | A pleasant tribute to one of the most underrated metal albums. Chuck would be proud.

3.5 great | noahconstrictor | June 1st 18 | Wonderfully solid thrash death metal here. The bands page describes them as a modern continuation of Death, and they've got that sound nailed down. Obviously not an innovation of the genre, but when you're doing something like this, you don't need to innovate, you just need to check all the boxes, and Gruesome has done exactly that here. Well done.
