I think this was an attempt at shock rock with edginess that was just bad. Lordi's been doing the same shtick for 15+ years now and going the route of monster rape doesn't feel like the refreshment they desperately need.

I feel like sput is quite bit uncheritable towards Lordi. These guys are a fun band and never really serious. They are know how to write a good hook and are pretty damn catchy.
