I really enjoyed this EP, more than I expected. It perfectly shows what this band is. Its has songs that represents everything the band stands for. Its fun, upbeat, and at times emotionally.
Heart Made Up On You
This song that is the title of the EP is fun and energetic. It follows a relationship that is rocky to say the least, where you know its not good for you but you can’t stay away. Its a great pop rock song its catchy and a blast to listen to. Even though it is nothing new and nothing I haven’t heard before I did enjoy it a lot.
Things Are Looking Up
This song is a good pick me up and talks about exactly what the title refers to. Even though this song doesn’t stand out as much it can be fun to listen to. Its got a verses that pull you in so by the end of the song you're still singing which this band always seems to have success in.
Easy Love
Easy Love is the song a different way of saying Love that is easy is boring, which is true. This song talks about how every relationships has its ups and downs. A cool song, I want to like it yet I can’t help but go back to the fact that it is just another relationship song.
Stay With Me
The Song that finishes us off is a slower and more emotionally and probably my favourite off of the EP. Lots of piano and we also have Riker singing which doesn’t happen as much and I like it when they all pitch in. A good beat and is slow but not super depressing. Overall a great song and it captures you in a powerful way that I want to see more of.
Overall I enjoyed the EP. As I’m sure a lot of people are expecting I want to see them tackling different topics to sing about other than girls, having fun and relationships. I would like to see more emotionally songs like stay with me but also I would like to see them dig deep and talk about something I haven’t already heard a million times.
